This thing is amazing. Only kitchen appliance I have found to be truly useful besides my cold press juicer. Absolutely love it! So much I may buy a second just to have stored away if it does go bad. Purchased in June and I use it 3-4 times a week for a few eggs to add to a salad or a quick as protein boost. Still looks brand new. I do recommend ditching the plastic measuring cup method of getting your eggs cooked to your liking… basically just add 3 oz of water and play around with timing. For an almost runny/creamy center = 10min… for a deep golden not fully set yolk =11 min and a just set not turning green on the edge yolk = 12-13 min…(timings are for Large Grade A) . Do be sure to take them out immediately with some tongs and dunk them in an ice bath for at least 5 min to stop the cooking. No- this cooker doesn’t make a sound/ding when it’s done, but it definitely turns itself off and the makes a click. Keep the water compartment clean and like new by wiping it with a few drops of lemon juice and a dish cloth or paper towel as soon as it’s cooled. If you don’t, I imagine it could get yucky with hard water staining… it is stainless steel and shines right back up, if maintained. Also invest in a stainless steel egg piercer… they have some that retract so it’s not sticking out in your kitchen drawer. LOVE that it is not plastic- my aunt hates that her popular brand one has gotten discolored in its plastic lid. That’s enough… don’t hesitate to purchase it!!

I spent a lot of time deciding on this egg cooker. I wanted a metal one with auto shut off since my previous one was plastic and stayed on. I love this thing. The metal bowl is awesome for steaming chicken trimmings for the dogs. :)

UPDATE, plugged it in today and it started heating up immediately, without the button being pressed. Attempts to press button do nothing, it lights up and goes off when released. Feel product is unsafe to use any further. Lifespan, 10 months with almost daily use. Got it today and I've already tried out soft boiled eggs; perfect outcome. Whites were solid but the yolk was runny. Next up were hard boiled eggs, and they came out beautiful without that common gray line around the yolk. Last I made a ham, egg and cheese omelet and as the others it was done perfectly. I didn't grease the little pan so it did cling but not an issue. It's large enough it would make a great egg round for a bagel sandwich. Can't recommend it enough. Oh and the egg piercing, give it a good firm single tap, and while holding the needle where it landed on that tap, then rotate the needle gently pressing to make the hole if you find that to be troublesome.

Simply works perfectly. It stopped cooking after the eggs were done. The cooked eggs were easy to peel.

Unit comes with poaching tray not configured for individual eggs. Also there is no alarm when cooking is over. A very annoying product.

Not a fan of single use kitchen appliances, but this is perfect if you do soft to hard boiled eggs with any sort of frequency. The eggs peel perfect every time. If you forget about them for a bit, the yolk will be a little drier, but it won’t be burnt. No need to baby sit it or run a timer.

I am totally committed to trying to only using products that are healthy, non-toxic, and good for the environment!! This little egg cooker is a triple threat. I first saw one at Fry's grocery store and I bought it cuz I love hard boiled eggs for breakfast. When I got it home I realized it was almost entirely made of plastic...yuk who wants to consume anything that is made with high temperature plastic, not healthy to me. So, I returned it and then went on a hunt for another version of this item. Found it!! It is amazing! My eggs come out perfectly every time no matter how hard or soft I want them, it is fool-proof and fast. You can also make fried eggs and omelets if you so wish. So healthy, nontoxic and the best part is I can make 1 to 6 hardboiled eggs to perfection with only 2oz...that is TWO OUNCES of water!!! Not a whole pot of water that you then just throw down your drain. And if you live in a community like mine your water bills are ridiculously high thanks EPCOR, but I digress… So, you are eating healthy organic eggs cooked (not in plastic) to perfection and saving the environment at the same time all for only $32.00 I would say that is definitely a Win Win WIN. Oh yeah and lower water bill so I guess it’s a win win win WIN Yippee!!

I wanted to love this. I purchased this because of the non plastic metal material and the ability to steam eggs, an upgrade from my dash plastic one. However, every time I use this my eggs are overcooked. The auto shutoff doesn’t seem to work and there is no alarm to let you know it’s done. Also the egg piercer and water measuring cup is very cheap compared to the more solid one from dash. I feel like I might accidentally break the egg piercer and measuring cup and the piercer cracked the shell. The concept is good but the execution is poor probably in an effort to lower the manufacturing cost.

Es lo máximo, facilísimo de usar, solo lo conectas con la cantidad de agua requerida y ya. Es una maravilla. Los huevos al vapor son una absoluta delicia, quedan súper cremosos, con una textura muy diferente a un simple huevo hervido. Estoy muy feliz con mi compra.

Product description in the website does not mention the wattage specifications is of Voltage 120V, Power 350W 120V is not suitable for use in India. Please do not buy. Please buy only if seller confirms wattage as 220v is also manufactured for this model.

This is a great egg cooker. Easy to use, very consistent. I have used this for quite a long time and it continues to work well.

The machine itself looks very sturdy and substantial but the problem is it has a foreign plug with different voltage. To buy a converter will be another £20. I thought electrical items sold in the UK were required to have a local plug?
