Image quality is good, night vision is good, range is good. Range depends on placement but they will trigger on a raccoon about 50 ft out at night. A deer, even further.

I use these mounted on a pole over water so that they focus on an alligator den and are programmed to fire on time lapse. This way I can capture what the gators are doing at various temperatures and document other species that associate with alligator dens.

Set up was not as "intuitive" as others I own, but the pics are amazing. This picture "froze" a fox in mid air while our Mama cat defender her little ones. (The fox hasn't been back)

The day and night images are great! Easy to operate!

Great day pictures and night was good enough to count horns on bucks never failed first deer season with it and will use again next season.

This is an upgraded camera from the original G42. To me, the previous G42s were simpler to set up. Also, it takes more effort to remove the SD card because of its location. It still takes good pictures, but wish they would have kept the original design.

I’ve been using the G42NG for years and always dependable. Camera has had several upgrades and always for the good. I love how you have the ability to lock camera onto tree(unlike some other Stealth cams) without interference with camera door. Easy access to memory card resetting camera on tree is not necessary. Also capable of using 12 volt battery verses expensive dbl a batteries

This is a great trail camera. The battery life is wonderful. I live in northern Wisconsin where we have winter data that are well below zero. I bought this trail camera to replace one whose batteries went dead after 4-5 of cold weather. This one has been out for 3 months (February, March and April) and the batteries are still at 100% power. That is amazing!
