This product is fantastic for TAWNY CRAZY ANTS ! ! ! Just bought lots more!!After lots of trial and error, I have found that the type of poison and how it is delivered is very important by type of ant. They are picky. And they can like different stuff in different seasons.Here in Los Angeles for the past couple summers I have been infested with tawny crazy ants. They are tiny, and brownish rather than black, and despite their size they pack a punch when they bite. Very annoying. They are efficient too -- when a dish of tacos was put on a table untouched for 5 minutes, it had hundreds feasting on it. Same with some cat barf.I have found that borax (like Terro) and fipronil (like Combat Max Gel) do not work against tawny ants in the summer. But abamectin (like this Home Plus product) is the bomb. I love the Combat gel for other ants, but these tawny ants walked right past fipronil and borax but went totally bonkers over abamectin -- there were many hundreds all over the traps last night, and this morning no ants and no bodies. None came back today.So I have found it depends on the type of ant. Combat is my all-time favorite (I love the syringe and being so easily able to put it anywhere like on the ceiling) but for these awful tawny crazy ants, at least in the summer, abamectin is the way to go!! Apparently it is delivered through a peanut butter product -- and that protein and fat is just what they want!! Apparently they like sweets at other times of the year but my infestations are in the summer.So -- abamectin for protein-eaters, borax for water-eaters, and fipronil for sugar-eaters is what I have found works best. In less than 24 hours I am seeing no more ants on two of the infestation areas and an occasional ant at the other two heavier infestation areas.Super happy with this product- ordered more for later summer months already. Packaging states to replace every 30 days.Durable metal tins. Easy to set up.

It works but not as expected. Ants go around it and do not go in all the time.I would say 70% OK

This is the second year I bought this and it definitely eliminates my ants. I have them every Spring and Summer. Other ant killers I tried over the years only reduced the numbers. I don’t think the queen was ever killed until I purchased this stuff. This is the first year, in the 25 years I have lived in this house, that the tiny little grease ants were completely eliminated and I haven’t seen a one. I had some black ants come in for the first time and got this again and they are completely gone too.One important thing to add is that my new little puppy cannot penetrate the metal containers with her teeth. I have them tucked back behind things but she manages to get one behind my toilet. So much tougher than the ones that are made of thin plastic or worse yet, pieces of cardboard .

One of my renters had a bunch of the tiny red ants in her kitchen and bathroom. Bought 3 different ant products and they totally ignored this one.

When I was a kid, my mom tried "ant stakes" and they never worked. You could place it in a stream of ants and they would make a new path around it. The ants never cared about them and never went in them. My mom was stubborn and kept trying them, but it never worked.My next door neighbor moved and tore up his entire yard and then when the new guy moved in he did it again. Ants came flooding into our house from that side. Cans of Raid weren't working because there were too many of them and you couldn't find their trails well enough.So I saw that these were highly rated on Amazon and I took a chance. Wow. I came down one morning to a stream of ants so I put one of these in the stream. The ants immediately forgot what they were doing and swarmed the bait instead. Unbelievable. I also had a few ants in my shower (my wife has fruity shampoos and conditioners) and the next day there were thousands. But I left them and the next day there were 10,000 dead ants in my shower. Just piles of them.These things really work to kill the ants and I assume kill the whole colony too. We have struggled with ants all summer since my neighbor's move and in 2 weeks these have killed them all.

I placed these in different areas where there is an ant problem. After four days and thousands of ants , not one ant on or in one of these tins. I don't know what is inside but it sure doesn't attract ants. I am going to throw them out since it's to late to return them. Don't waste your money.

Placed 4 outside to get rid of any infestation after months of ant sand working for about 48 hours and then ants returning en masse.There are still a few around but nothing like before, not coming into the house and not biting my feet as I water the garden. Probably could do with another 4 pack - ants were everywhere and we're on about 400sqm, but for the moment really happy! Took 24 hours to see a visible difference in numbers and each day that passes sees fewer and fewer.

Brought this as we noticed ants coming into the kitchen amazed at how fast it worked and it’s been Almost a month and we have not seen an ant since. Thank you.

We bought these to control little black ants which were coming through our kitchen windows or somewhere in our kitchen at our new house, which we discovered shortly after moving in. These things are the absolute bomb. Within a day or two the ants had seemingly vanished, and they didn't come back for about a month or two, and even then it was only in much smaller quantities, so we just moved the unit and they were gone in a day again. If you have issues with ants seriously get these, they're magical.
