Can diaameter a little too small with this particular brand, so used jacket off some Romex, wrapped around canister, so mounting bracket would snug up when mounting screws tightened. AC has returned!! Of course AC went out this past Friday just before the two hottest days this year (110 and 105F), literally 2 hrs after my neighbor and I were discussing how lucky we've been with our AC units running for 21 years without issue.The Internet said the intermittent fan motor humming (while not spooling up), and lack of cooling, was likely the capacitor (Bryant Model 563C). Capacitor top was bulging, with zero response on multimeter, so clear it was dead. So this quick fix saved me probably $300 and a week of waiting for an HVAC company to fix (in Sacramento).

I bought the wrong motor, and I was so disappointed when this arrived as I was sleeping in a hot house for 2 days. But luckily I was able to get the right parts in a local store and installed that same day.My faults and not yours. Still have the motor in my storage tho.

i bought this capacitor to have as a replacement when needed. I have replaced capacitors on my other home units and saved expense of having an AC service repair charge.

Ignore the picture associated with this item as it's not quite what it looks like. The top has three connections not two (compressor, fan and herm). I did my research of the part number prior to ordering as I needed this product and was worried at first that it would come like the picture, but the correct one came. Put it in place and instantly my air conditioning was fixed! And to top it off, it arrived a day early which we were so greatful for. Again, look up the part number first to ensure this is the one you need, and if it is, then worry not as it will fix your problem!
