The over-skirts of crepe georgette are machine picot hemmed, the bottom tier length of which surpasses the hem of the sheath dress underneath to hit very low on the leg. The bateau neckline of the gathered blouse is trimmed with a single braid of satin, nicely framing the neck. By the end of the Twenties, Elsa Schiaparelli stepped onto the stage to represent a younger generation.
