Poor quality, wish I had read the description before purchasing.
Was very disappointed. Didn’t like the illustrations thought I was buying a hardcover story about this very historic and courageous woman.

Great for young readers
This was bought for my 10 year old as her new class is called Seacole and she wanted to know more about who her class was named after. Lovely book and easy to understand with the information being easily understood. We have donated to the class now so other pupils can read about her extraordinary life.

Fab book, bought for my 7 year old son
Bought for my 7 year old son as he was constantly asking for a book on Mary Seacole. As a nurse, I was so proud that he chose Mary Seacole over Florence Nightingale Seacole isn't always remembered by the mass. Since receiving the book he hasn't put it down! Great, as he's not a keen reader. Easy to follow book and great content.

The content of the book is good but the quality of the paper is poor

Mary Seacole's life.
This book is aimed at children rather than adults like me hence the low rating. However, as a children's book it's great.
