For 20 years these have been the perfect pick.
It's all subjective, I know. I've been a fan of Clayton .50 and .63 for 20 years, maybe more. It's the right choice for me.

Great grip/durability/sound
I like using a variety of picks, and discovered these when one of my favorite guitarists(King Buzzo) had some in a gear-related interview. They are the only picks I use that don't require me to add some sort of adhesive/other grip to them to keep them from slipping--a bit odd to me, considering I absolutely love Steve Clayton's adhesive pick grip product for my Tortex and celluloid picks! These seem to wear reasonably slowly, and $3 for a pack of 12(really 36 when you consider they have 3 points) is a steal. I only have used the .50 so far, but thicker ones would if anything only be more durable, and that's saying something. Only about a month in since I started using these, but definitely one of my favorite picks of all time!

They are what you need.
I’ve been playing guitar acoustically for over six years. These are some of the best picks that you can purchase. If one side of your pick wears out, no problem, all you have to do is switch to the other side and you have two more brand new pics on the same pick.

Hard to grip
Large size for easier handling. Three usable tips.I love the feel of these .50 picks gliding over my strings, but my skin is especially dry in the winter and I have difficulty getting a solid grip on the matte finish. I wish they offered the same pick with a gloss finish. Also, the TINY bit of color in the logo the manufacturer uses to delineate the different thicknesses is useless. I use both .80 and .50, but there's no way I can tell them apart on stage. I have to look REAL CLOSE even at home with perfect lighting to tell the difference. C'mon Clayton, make the entire pick a different color for each thickness!

Good picks
Good picks for bass. I’m a guitarist but I mess with bass a little in a couple bands just for fun, and for recording my own song demo’s with my main (guitar) band. I use extra heavy bass strings for straight B & C tuning and these picks do the job.

Great pick
I really love the thinness of this pick because I have a solid body electric ukelele with steel strings and this pick is perfect - I have always been a guitar player but aging has caused my hands to get weaker so making it harder to chord my guitars - discovered the ukulele and after some time decided to buy a couple of solid body ukeleles - this pick is perfect for the strings I have on both and lets me enjoy the instrument like I used to enjoy my electric guitars

Paper Thin!
Yeah, I hear that all the time from friends when they see the .38 gauge Claytons I use. I've been using them for the last 20 years and not about to stop. I even ordered specialty .38s with logos from them 4 years ago. I gave up 'tire iron' pick back in the day; just felt like they were dragging too much against the string and slowing me down. With these, I get a clean, articulate pick attack that doesn't rasp against the strings. If I need a harder attack, I'll slightly bend it...but I've been doing this for years, so it takes a bit of getting used to. They don't break as easy as you'd think, but when I do rapid temelo picking, that's when the 3 points come in handy! .38s aren't for everyone, but try one for a little while, maybe you can find a use for them or help you achieve a different sound in your playing...then go back to your 'tire irons'! lol

Best picks in the business
(in my own opinion - although I know that Dennis Dunaway swears by them too) I have used wedges for over 40 years, and discovered Steve Clayton picks many, many years ago.I will never change. Thank you.
