Easy Replacement
7 minute job end to end replacing the batt in one of my 30GB iPods. The battery fit perfectly, and the iPod booted right up with what looks like 75% charge. I don't expect any problems with this battery. Will be sure to charge fully then run the iPod to discharge fully before using it on the regular.Having opened iPods before, to replace hard drives in the old days, and more recently flashmodding (includng this same one 2 years ago) it's easy for me to open them up and change out the key components. If you're new to doing this kind of thing, fear not. Getting them open takes a little work, but it's not all that hard once you understand it. There are tons of videos to show you how to do it.But yes, the new battery looks good. Will buy from this supplier again when one of the others needs a swap. It's cool knowing that someone out there makes these things.Note, I didn't use the tools that came with this battery - I have my own metal tools from years ago, so can't comment on tool durability.

Simple upgrade for an iPod!
Easy to perform upgrade for my iPod which had been slowly operating with a diminished battery life. One thing to note is you need to be very careful when removing the existing battery as the cabling underneath may crack as it did in my case (this cable prevented me from locking the device). This wasn't an issue with the battery, just calling it out for anyone doing a similar upgrade.Since installing, battery has worked perfectly, and have been using now for several weeks. Very happy with the build quality and how well it's working! If I get another iPod upgraded, will be sure to go back to these folks to get another!

Perfect replacement battery for iPod Classic 6
My old iPod Classic 6 has not worked for years and I wanted to see if I could revive it. The hardest and trickiest part of the project was opening the case. Apple is so precise in its fit and finish with their devices that opening it is a surgical procedure. Patience is the advice here. I actually ordered an iPod repair kit first because I didn’t want to end up with a battery I didn’t need if the opening process failed.. .watch some of the excellent videos on YouTube before attempting this. The battery actually comes with a plastic opening tool which I never used. The placement of the battery was easy. It comes with an adhesive backing. The battery is slightly larger than the original but can be carefully scrunched in. The slight increase in size is due to the packing around the battery not the battery itself. The copper connection band easily reached the insertion point. I used a tweezer to insert it being careful not to damage the copper. Before closing the iPod, I powered it on and it worked ! I then closed the iPod . The battery comes 50% charged. I charged it to maximum and have been enjoying hours of music I thought I had lost.

Relatively Simple to Install - Good Customer Support
This replacement battery has brought my 80GB 5th gen iPod back to life. However, I wished I had read more before buying. The small print indicates this will work in an 80GB iPod but cautions the battery life will not be as long. Several product reviewers also spoke about the adhesive being on the wrong side of the battery. I learned these caveats only after I had pried open my device and could see the differences in size and configuration between the old and new batteries. Customer support at Maximal Power was quick to respond to my online query about whether I could flip the battery (yes, you can, but you will need to come up with a solution to make the battery adhere to the shell). Online "how-to" videos made this fix relatively straightforward. Just in case this new battery has a very short life and to avoid the time to research this again, I bought a second battery from a different U.S.-based supplier that appears to be a better match for my device.

Works great
Ordered 2, one for my wife and one for myself, to replace the batteries on our nearly 2 decade old iPod and they worked out great. They fit just like the stock ones, but just as others mentioned the adhesive was placed on the wrong side. Luckily, additional double sided tape was included.

Look elsewhere
It’s a battery, that’s about all the good I can say about it, it’s pretty terrible, it didn’t fit in my 30gb 5th gen enhanced, I had to bend the corners of the battery for it to squeeze in. The tools were complete garbage and broke before I could even get the iPod open so be prepared to buy separate ones. The cable connecting the battery was on the wrong side so the glue was useless as you have to flip it for the cable to fit and can’t use the glue it came with. Overall I recommend replacing the battery yourself since it’s not that difficult but buy from another seller who has one that fits better and make sure to have your own tools on hand.

Works with A1136
Awful tools that will not work getting it open. Adhesive was on the wrong side of battery but they provide extra. Battery is operational

Worked perfect for A1136, iPod Classic 5Th Gen 30GB
This is a perfectly sized replacement that drops right in and replaces the original. Adhesive is on the wrong side, but this includes an extra strip, so no issues and no complaints.
