veronese Ark of the Covenant Trinket Box,Bronze

The box is smaller than I thought it would be but the detail is excellent. I took the best photos of it I could so other people can evaluate it for their uses. For display, the box looks best under bright but indirect light.

I love this! It was as described and arrived when expected. I believe it is rather over-priced. I'd have ordered the larger one except the price was cost-prohibitive.I like that it is constructed of metal, rather than resin like most of the others, but I'd have liked it better if it was more of a gold color, than brass.

Mine is defective. I had been looking at several versions of the Ark on Amazon, and settled on this one by Veronese. If you look at the 2nd photo that is shown by Veronese, on their page here (the view looking directly down from above), you will see the cherubim are positioned so that their wingtips just about touch and they are perfectly symmetrical mirrored versions sitting on the Ark. I wish mine was as nice. One of my angels wings is bent and it's been positioned awkwardly. The black felt inside the lid looks like it was torn by hand, not cut with scissors. I wouldn't be so picky, but when you've been wanting one of these for a long time, and you paid almost $50.00 for it, you want a nice piece of art that has been quality checked. See my first two photos. If it wasn't for these defects, the piece would be perfect.

This item looks great, and it feels heavy and well made.I like the lining on the inside when other similar products do not have.One fault however, the cover should have been made so it closes tightly or click into place, so it doesn't fall off when tilting or turning upside down.
