Very good read
Love it. Love the connection in each story. There is a hint that the stories connect. Very well done. Only spoilers you will get from me. 5 anthologies out of 5

Great anthology
Love the stories short and sweet. Read every one, some of these books I just skip through most of it but I enjoyed this one.

Really Creepy Stories
Most of these were new to me, but since I recently read other collections by Blair Daniels, there were a few that I skipped or skimmed because I had already read them. I just love this author. These stories show real-life things turned paranormal and scary. Another thing I like is the endings of Daniels' stories.

Short unsettling sketches might be ideal for YA
These dozens of short stories, typically a few pages each, are more like creepy set pieces over all than actual horror stories with story arcs. Some of them have zing, and many don't - probably a lot has to do with the personal phobias and fears of the reader. There is a very loose thread binding the stories together, but for me it didn't matter much. Some of the stories made me scratch my head in confusion while some were actually unnerving; some I wanted more and others I was glad to move on quickly. As I read, I found myself thinking that these stories might be targeted for teenagers, since the bulk of them seemed like scary ideas that could make fireside campout fodder beginning with "Wouldn't it be scary if...?"While the stories themselves were passably entertaining but not riveting for me, I give full credit to the author for a very fertile imagination. I'm going to look to see if she has anything she's carried further than these sketches because of that. I'd love to see what she does to develop out one of her creepy concepts fully!

I loved this book!
Blair Daniel's is one of the best authors I've ever seen! I love his story books as well as his creepypastas. Much better than books today, that are filled with fillers.

A Collection of Spooky Ideas
On the positive side, this author has come up with an impressive number of scary situations and stories that are quick reads, give just enough detail to keep you interested without bogging things down, or leaving things out. Some of the stories are pretty creepy, and rooted in real life possibilities lurking in the dark parts of your mind, or from the dark possibilities of society. If I have any criticism, it's that there's a certain sameness to the writing. I'm pretty sure every story is in first person. A lot of them don't have much of a set up, or introduction, and some of them have quick, almost vague endings. In a sense it's like eating chocolate. You take a few bites, eat a few pieces, and it's great stuff. You keep eating it and you like it. But after a while, you realize why you don't eat an all-chocolate diet.Never the less, I've read a lot of horror, and a lot of short fiction, and the author is to commended. There are a lot of great and spooky set-ups in the stories here, and as I noted, each is easy and fun to read. Just don't make it your only go-to for the genre and you'll be happy (or better, even more scared!).

Love short stories
I follow this author on Reddit and recently found out that they write books as well. Checked this one out first and it didn’t disappoint. Freaky, scary, and spooky.I have no idea why I insist on scaring myself with scary short stories when I’m such a wimp but I love them. Going to check out the next in the series… hoping the Black Widow storyline continues.

More "eerie" rather than scary
I've read about 10 stories and so far, they leave me with more of a spooky vibe rather than scary or terrifying. I noticed quite a few editing errors after reading only a handful of the stories, and I'm not the biggest fan of the syntax and diction choice. For instance, there are passages where the author switches from first to third person in the same sentence, and they tend to write in really short sentences with the expectation of shocking the reader, but instead results in important connecting words being removed such as "if, and, & but". It seems insignificant, but I find this type of writing style makes it difficult to keep a consistent flow when reading. There are also just general grammatical errors everywhere which seems a little weird. Despite all of this, it's a fun read!
