This is an awesome tool, but comes with a cost.
Adding this extension to my cue is so nice. Unlike an extension on the end, it is in the middle and thus distributes the weight properly and evenly throughout the cue. I've been playing for almost 40 years and playing with this extension really helped me open up my stroke and smooth out a bunch - accidental training device. Now, there is a cost to this: it adds weight to the cue (I'm guessing about 2+oz) and with the added length on the cue, it feels awkward to choke up on a shot (which I commonly do for pocket speed shooting) and with the weight added, each shot has a little more punch behind it - which is not always desirable. I now keep two cues on the ready when playing tournaments and league - one with this extension and one without.

Does what it’s supposed to do
Helps with longer stretches across the table so you have to use the bridge less. It does add some weight to the cue but it’s easy to get used to after a few racks.

Not concentric
This product is not concentric they could have done a better job when installed it makes the cue off center. There was a warning that this maybe the case in the item description. Other than it being off center it works and functions fine.

Does not thread in the best
Boyfriend loves this extension piece but he says it doesn’t thread in the best. 4 out of 5 for that reason.

It does not perfectly line up, you will feel the joint where it doesn’t line up smoothly.
It does work as advertised, however, my OCD gets the best of me as where the joint connects the butt to the extension and extension to the shaft it is not a smooth joint. You feel the difference between both parts of the joint. It is nice to have a longer shaft, but I would have liked to have a more smooth transition between the butt and the shaft. Other than that, it is great. I went with McDermott hoping that since both of my sticks are McDermott, I thought they would fit better.
