THIS MOTOR WAS EXTREMELY WELL PACKAGED AND EASY TO INSTALL I LET IT FREEWHEEL WITH NO LOAD FOR 3-4 10 MINUTE CYCLES TO SEAT THE BRUSHES IT WAS WORKING WELL i THEN INSTALLED IT ON MY 60 GALLON KOBALT COMPRESSOR AFTER CHECKING THAT THE PUMP TURNED EASILY EVERY THING WAS WORKING WELL FOR ABOUT A WEEK THEN THE MOTOR STARTED TO STRUGGLE AND THEN STARTED SMOKING THE MOTOR IS A BOAT ANCHOR AFTER MAYBE 2-3 HOURS OF TOTAL RUN TIME VERY DISSAPPOINTED

Great price to replace the original “5HP” motor. Original motor was not a true 5HP. The original finally burnt out after 20 years. This was the perfect replacement and provides the exact specs necessary and performs as it is supposed to.Waited a while to review, to be certain there were not any issues. Being this was an import and I had seen many reviews for that concern on quality with other motors. No issues and works great.

I have returned a defective motor on June 14 to Compressor Source and have yet to receive any further info on a replacement.

First let me add that the motor was very well packed. It was very impressive in fact. It was very easy to hook up my wires to the motor. mounting was simple. I so far had only ran it for about a hour. Great so far.
