Marvelux Enhanced Polymer Durable Office Chair Mat for Carpets 90 x 120cm

Bought this to replace a very poorly performing chair mat that did not live up to its product description. The previous one, bought from another Amazon supplier, came rolled up not flat and, apart from taking time to settle, which made an unnecessary trip hazard, did not allow free movement of my office chair. Within days, the old mat had depressions where the castors of the office chair sank into the material, which was entirely unsuitable for the job. By contrast, this mat came flat already, is still flexible but is firm in use and allows free movement of my office chair. Fully fit for purpose and although I cannot yet offer an opinion on the durability of the mat, the material used in construction is similar to that of a previous mat that lasted 6 years, so fingers crossed! Finally, a piece of advice, 1. Do not by a chair mat that is delivered rolled up - these are most likely imports from the far East and, from my experience with two of these previously, do not perform at all well. 2. While the ones being advertised as being made in the EU ( in some cases Germany), don't waste your time ordering from suppliers who cannot give a specific delivery date. Two previous orders, which were likely to fulfill my requirements, had to be cancelled after nearly a week of 'pending delivery date' messages. This supplier has UK stocks and delivered in 48 hours via DPD, with their one hour the slot notification system. First class service from a UK supplier. Recommended.

Bought this for my son as he spends a lot of time gaming and programming/coding as his desk. It’s protecting the carpet and also allowing better movement of the chair. It’s nice and sturdy so holds the weight of both him and the chair well. Also easily movable big grips on the carpet well not moving around with the movement of the chair, and because it’s wipeable when he’s not following my ‘no eating in his room with cream carpets’ rule it makes me feel slightly better about the carpet also being protected from food and spills. The size is perfect for his chair when in use and tucked in. He’s had this a couple of months and it’s not showing any noticeable damage. Good buy. Arrived quickly too

Mainly positives - item arrived flat, not rolled up, so it doesn't require flattening. It seems to be very strong and robust. It doesn't slip or drift across the carpet due to little 'spikes' that keep it in place. My chair moves around on it easily, but with enough grip so it doesn't 'over slide'. It's a good size too. So why 4 stars and not 5? At £41 I feel it's a bit pricey for what is essentially a sheet of plastic, they must be making a massive mark up. So 5 stars for quality, 4 stars for value. After 6 weeks of daily use it's still going strong, no signs of deterioration. If the product deteriorates over time I will revise my review.

I bought this a few months ago to protect my carpet by my desk now I work from home. It does the job well. It is clear plastic so you see the colour of the carpet underneath and has loads of small cones on the udnerside which means it does not move once placed. The points of the cones do mean you have to be a bit careful adjusting its position but you shouldn't need to do that once you have it down right. There has been no yellowing of the plastic over the months it has been down in my flat. Given I weigh over 140kg (over 20 stone old money) and sit on a standard, 5 wheel office chair each wheel is putting a lot of weight down on to a very small area and there is absolutely no sign of cracking or permanent distortion at all. The lack of cracking includes those times I have rolled my chair over the edge of the mat by mistake. The edges held up very well indeed. Happy to recommend this product.

I sent back a cheaper, foldable carpet protector that turned up dirty and was very underwhelming. Spent extra on this one and am delighted. It's a good large size, ideal for a 111cm wide Sanodesk standing desk. Since the desk footprint is about 111x60, this leaves almost a metre of space for chair movement. The studs on the bottom mean it does not shift. The very slightly opaque texture means the carpet is still readily visible so you don't really notice its presence after a while. It's neither heavy nor light in weight, sitting in a nice sweet spot. No visible marks on the plastic, so overall excellent. As others have said it was slightly challenging to open (best with 2 people) but it achieved flat state within an hour. I was slightly concerned it might scratch during the "rapid unrolling"! (under pressure) but with the 2 people it was able to be controlled.

I have waited to write a review to make sure the product did last. Initially very happy with the mat. Does what I expected. However….6 months on it has cracked where the chair wheel usually sits. Guess there’s more weight in that area, but not impressed as they said it would not crack! I don’t use it every day either, so would probably have cracked sooner if I did. So “caveat emptor”… it might be better to buy a cheap one that you know will crack and buy three for the price of one!!!!

I bought this as a last resort after wasting tons of money on 'carpet protectors' over the years that have simply self-destructed. This is very tough and has so far survived over a year in my home office. It comes rolled up and springs open when you remove the straps so take care. Onve down, it hardly ever moves and has protected the carpet from 1000s of hours of me rolling my heavy chair over it. I will buy another one from this seller to replace it should that time every come.

This was a superb shopping experience from start to finish. I have a large office desk in my home office and therefore ordered the large version, namely 120 x 150cm (47" x 60"). The order was placed at 1730 hours on Thursday, 8th August, and was delivered to my address at 1653 hours on Saturday, 10th August, having travelled all the way from Rochester in New York during that short period of time. The item was in a tall box and rolled. I was extremely grateful for the warning on the instructions that the mat was rolled under pressure and to apply firm downward pressure while cutting the retaining bands and rolling it out, otherwise it would have sprung out like a jack-in-the-box and could well have caused me and/or my room considerable damage. Once carefully unrolled, the mat laid flat instantaneously on my 6mm Belton Feltback Twist Carpet with 8mm underlay. I nevertheless decided to leave the mat overnight before placing my Steelcase Leap chair on it. I did not place weighted items such as books at the corners and in the centre of the mat as I did not consider this necessary. The likelihood is that the mat flattened instantaneously because the outside temperature was in the mid-20s on the day the mat was delivered. The end result is a nice gliding surface for my chair and no movement whatsoever of the mat. I cannot recommend this product more highly.

Ich war sehr positiv überrascht von der Bodenschutzmatte. Sie ist speziell für Bürostühle auf Teppich gedacht. Die Matte ist sehr stabil, die Rollen sinken kein bisschen ein, so dass der Bürostuhl sehr gut rollen kann. Durch die Noppen ist die Matte absolut rutschfest, was ich eigentlich kaum für möglich gehalten habe. Hinzu kommt, dass sie wirklich geruchsarm ist. Ich kann die Matte wärmstens empfehlen.

Die Unterlage kam eingerollt im Karton.Die Unterlage ist mit einem Spanngurt zusammen gerollt,darum Achtung-beim Lösen.Es liegt eine starke Spannung an der Unterlage.Vorsicht beim Öffnen des Spanngurtes.Unbedingt die Anweisungen befolgen.Wenn die Matte erstmal ausgerollt ist,ist diese Matte wirklich super.Ich brauchte weder die Ecken,noch die Mitte zum Auslegen beschweren.Die Matte ist sehr stabilund bleibt dank den Noppen auf dem Teppich liegen.Ich kann diese Matte sehr empfehlenIch benutze allerdings keinen Stuhl mit Rollen darauf.

Die Bodenschutzmatte ist für Teppichböden bis 6 mm sehr gut geeignet. Die Kunststoffspitzen bieten einen guten Halt, ohne den Teppich zu beschädigen. Durchsichtigkeit ist gut, jedoch fallen je nach Blickwinkel die Kunststoffspitzen auf. Die Matte habe ich seit Dezember 2023 täglich in Gebrauch und es sind keine Kratzer erkennbar. Kann man nur weiter empfehlen.
