Postal service isn't what it used to be!
Would have been beautiful plants, package was ok, but 9 days in the mail wasn't good for them! I planted them but I don't think they will make it. They didnt make it.. a week later they have dissolved into nothing! Its been 2 months, the Java fern has reproduced and is doing good, the other plant, i can't spell.. lol has devolved into nothing and I no longer have them.

Rotten
Plant was damaged since it arrived, I figured it cure it self once I add it to my tank. But it just died and rotten on my tank! I had to start a new cycle and the rotting killed half of my expensive fishes!

Koi Food
My Koi devoured these plants within a day or two, so it’s hard to tell how good they were. Looked robust coming out of the package.

Great healthy plants
Arrived healthy and happy, I put the separate stems into the substrate and they are growing like crazy. Your lighting and plant care substrate Etc, will make a difference in what the brightness of the colors will be. Mine is actually quite nice.

Year 2 with Mainam, losing stars as repeat customer
Pictures and video of my transition Year 2 now...I was a little disappointed in the most recently purchased items this year 2020 compared to last year 2019. This is my second year purchasing with Mainam. The second picture shows 1 of the plants from the first time I purchased something from this vender on the small long in front of the aquarium. I was testing venders last year (2019).I picked Mainam as one of the tested venders. Some of the other venders tested at the same time as Mainam were, local stores who had warranties on their products, and online venders Greenpro last year (2019), and recently (2020) SubstrateSource (the SubstrateSource plants are the large 15” green Mother Amazon Swords in the corners of the aquarium by the tree stumps (pictures 3 and 4), for $29 each. I purchased 2 Mother plants from SubstrateSource, each had 4 strong plants with large enough roots to latch/replant. As you can see and compare for yourself, they are very green and they stand up on their own (most like the picture in their ad). The mother plants have been in the aquarium for about a week (using Flourish treatment products.). Mainam only guarantees they’re plants will arrive alive (so I tested other venders). You see cuttings may arrive green, and may remain alive for days after cutting, but can SOON DIE OFF WITHOUT FAULT TO THE CONSUMER OR CARRIER! I elected to try Mainam due to the high volume of positive reviews they have vs the competition on Amazon. Mainam had more positive reviews than some of the other venders who had customers to leave reviews. Not all venders the Amazon plant venders had customers leave reviews.YET, NONE OF THE VENDERS had consumers posted a time lapse of they’re shopping experience. So here we are! A time lapsed perspective of shopping with Mainam, and patronizing the vender during a pandemic. The weather is fair, its not hot nor cold this year (2020) during the time of my order. The plant from last year is still alive (seen in the pictures and video I posted with this review), and as you can see to judge for yourself, the roots are plentiful and green. The ribosome has spread and a few shoots came up. The newly grown leaves are tiny, esp. in comparison to the leaves it came with (which are the larger leaves on the little log in front of the tank. But I did not use any products which targeted the growth and development of the plants). The little red vine is from Mainam’s red bundle purchased a few days ago pictured as they arrived (I had to hurry and plant them because they were in such poor condition), so you can judge it for yourself, it is the way it arrived (one in the bundle of about 7).The plants purchased from Mainam on May 3, 2020, they arrived May 9, 2020 in the mailbox (it was fair weather the entire time). The test plants from various venders i.e. Mainam’s Anubias on the small log in front of the tank, was from the time I was just introducing the artificial tank to the planted transition and documenting the process online (a glimpse is seen in these pictures and video to this review). In 1 year summary... The plants I purchased last year (2019 plants) from Mainam arrived on the doorstep wet and well wrapped with large leaves and strong! No leaves lost and it was almost a full palm sized plant from the length of the ribosome. It stood fairly high over the palm of my hand with 7+ leaves. I was certain I found a trusted online vender to transition all my aquariums into planted tanks. I was very excited! The plants were affordable, hardy, and lasted a long time without intervention (i.e. CO2, etc.). After 20+ years in the hobby I was ready to transition to planted tanks, now that I found a trusted vender. Mainam had a better price than other venders in the past, which aided my decision to purchase more from them than other last year’s tested venders for this second year (i.e. this year 2020) with Mainam. Mainam’s packaging, delivery, and product was better (they’re package was not delivered via USPS), and they’re plants outlasted the competition. I did not do anything different with any of the plants, they were all in this aquarium (6 pictures 1 video total of 7 views). One of the GreenPro Java ferns from 2019 are in there. But, all the original leaves died off, and the leaves that are there now are all new leaves (picture on the shell of the tree stump above the large mother plants from SubstrateSource).(Sidenote: The plants are all in this 200g. But they were too small, so I still have a lot of artificial plants for the safety of the fish during this transition. The lights are on everyday for 8+ hrs.)I believed I could trust Mainam for future purchases, as a direct result of my year 1 experience. Therefore, I purchased a much larger order with Mainam (15+ plants) this year (2020), understanding the history from last years (2019) experience. I was disappointed this year! They mailed the plants in a small box via USPS with no possibility for the plants to get sunlight, and the mailman took too many days to deliver it to the mailbox. 15 plants and over $200 total!!! Such a large order, a consumer would imagine the vender would be more careful to ensure the order arrives to the consumer in a timely manner. So they seemed rather careless with a large costly order. Here is a glimpse of what happened after I trusted the vender with a large order a year later (yr. 2020 order)...1 Cryptocoryne Tropica arrived ($14.99 each had strong stems on the ones that survived, no roots at all! The plants were clearly cuttings, but the size/bundle was a lot, but leaves were noticeably shriveled, did not appear to have lost many leaves). The Anubias Bacteria, $16.99 each; I purchased 2 of these and one the new ones were 2x’s smaller than the first two I received as a new customer and each cost more than the first two from 2019’s order.Mainam’s Amazon sword ($15.99 each, 1 Rosette and 1 Ozelot green at that price) were much smaller than they’re pictured advertisement. The leaves were very short in reality, but in the picture the leaves stand far above the palm of the models hand (roots were cut too short to latch).1 Moneywort bundle ($12.99) was really nice had roots, about 7+ Stems ready to plant green as pictured, strong and the best of the bunch!Super Red mini ($14.99) with rather sorry looking stems, no roots at all, not strong enough to stand it was limp. But it was red when it arrived, leaves were shriveled and sticking to the plastic bag so several leaves were lost.1 Crptocoryne Wendtii was $15.99 arrived like the picture but there were no roots to latch onto anything, leaves were a bit transparent, not very lively looking. The Cryptocoryne Beckettii arrived as a lot of cuttings with green leaves, but no roots not worth the $14.99 I paid if they fail to thrive for the lack of roots.2 Exotica purple terrarium plants at $12.99, they had very tiny roots as if they just sprouted. The Alternathera Lilacina bundle was $14.99 and it had shriveled leaves, there were about 6 stems but none had roots, clearly it was cuttings. But it would have been nice to have at least half of the bunch with roots for the $15 I paid.I purchased 2 Dwarf Cardinal/Lobelia Cardinalis at $14.99 and the leaves were as pictured, it was a bundle and it had roots but they were very tiny. The Ozelot sword at $15.99 was smaller than I thought it would be the bundle was not as full, but it had roots and it was green (I mentioned this one above with the swords).Out of all the plants I received, I do not feel as though I received my moneys worth. I do not feel Mainam’s quality or integrity was upheld throughout the entirety of the large order (In comparison from 2019 to 2020). I am fairly disappointed because I was certain I could trust the vender from the reviews and the first year (seemingly bait) orders. Due to Covid19 I cannot reach a live person, so they’ll all have to reply via email or from amazon. If I there are any changes I will update with pictures and information. The only reason its 2 stars instead of 1 is from last years purchase to this year. I really thought this would be another 5 star review with beautiful pictures and a video. I am spending my own money on these projects and documenting them here for everyone to judge for themselves. Updates upon request, unless I purchase more then I will post the update there automatically. So look for my reviews.
