Super
I love being asked to review gift vouchers, but this is the first time I have felt inclined to do so, and I will say a few words. The voucher arrived promptly and was for exactly the same amount that I had requested, meaning that the person I gave it to was able to spend up to that same price on another item, which would also potentially be reviewed in good time. The voucher is versatile and can be used to buy anything, provided that Amazon sell it, and it does not cost more. It can also be used in part payment for an item costing more, such as a Ferrari, several bags of chips, or a villa on the French Riviera, again, if and only if such items are in stock and the corresponding balance is met on purchasing. The sleek plastic card on which the discount code was written was durable and lasted well until after the voucher was redeemed. A timeless brand in the making. Over time, people receiving sufficient Amazon gift vouchers would have the option of piecing them together to make some kind of mosaic, and they could use the original items to order and pay for a photo frame in which to mount them. This would be a classy addition to any living room wall. They can also be stored in wallets, padding them out, useful for anybody who wishes to project images of wealth. Indeed, Amazon gift vouchers could even be used as a decoy for potential credit card thieves, in that a fat wallet with used vouchers could be left in one pocket (even emerging slightly) when travelling on public transport, while real credit cards can be inserted into socks or carefully folded and held in money belts. Hey, these vouchers are enormously versatile, I will buy more. If there is one drawback, it is that it is difficult to hide the price on the voucher, which many givers like to do on other gifts, because even if you are creative with the old permanent markers, the amount becomes obvious when the recipient attempts to redeem the gift, rendering your attempts totally fruitless, a frustration I felt keenly the first time I gave one. But despite this, this is a top item and the makers should be proud of their creativity. Recommend!

Great last minute gift idea, but the glitch in the value/ordering system needs resolving!
A great option for sending a last minute present, but there is a glitch in the software that would benefit from being sorted! Basically, I wanted to send a £50 voucher for a friends birthday, but if you want to send £50, the only accompanying card, says "Happy Christmas". Because it was her birthday (and not Christmas), this wasn't really appropriate (even though she does have a good sense of humour), and the only other available option (if I wanted to send the voucher in a birthday card and not e.g. a Christmas or Anniversary card) would cost me £250... I like this friend, but I don't like her that much, and so, I settled for the £40 option (which would be accompanied by a birthday card)... All, a little ridiculous, but Amazon did save me ten quid, and it arrived within two days of ordering (prime) so no complaints overall.

Amazon - please rethink your packaging
Love an Amazon gift card but I am very disappointed as to how it arrived in a full a5 size box with a load of brown paper holding the card to the bottom. I understand the point of trying to diguise the item so it doesnt get stolen etc, but how about a better system where the card is not activated until delivery is confirmed by the one who ordered it, or a memorable code/date to enter when you try using it on an account. Really think Amazon (being such a fantastic and developing company) should have a better solution to this problem rather than just 'more packaging'.

It's worth checking with the recipient
These are a useful way of sending a present but it is worth checking that they actually arrive.I send a £100 card to a nephew and it arrived - packaging apparently intact - with the voucher torn from the card.Amazon sent a replacement immediately when I spoke to them, but clearly the system can go wrong, and it is worth checking with the recipient. Fab!
I've never bought an Amazon gift card although I use Amazon all the time. I wanted a little gift for a friend and saw these advertised whilst browsing. I'm very impressed I have to say. It came in 24 hours with no postage charge. Lots of other online voucher companies charge a couple of pounds on top of the voucher cost so it's brilliant Amazon don't charge. I will buy more in future for this reason alone and the super fast delivery when you need it quick is great. Lovely card came with it. Nicely presented. Perfect.

I ORDERD A GIFT CARD FOR MY FRIEND AS A BIRTHDAY GIFT
I ordered a gift card via amazon for my friend's birthday and gave the card to her upon receipt as it was her birthday the day I received it. Later the same day I received another gift card but because I had received the first one and given it, I didn't bother with the second one and just chucked it in my drawer. Upon my friend trying to use the gift card I gave her for her birthday, she was unable to as it kept reflecting as "invalid". I was so embarrassed. Fortunately my husband had a gift card to the same value which he hadn't used since his birthday in November and I was able to replace the current card she had with this one. After taking the gift card back and replacing it with my husband's gift card, I checked on my Amazon account to see if it works and it reflected as "invalid". It was then that I noticed that the second card's number was the number on my account, not the first card (how was I to know I was going to receive two cards and the first one I had already given was the correct one that would work!) I of course gave the second card (with the number on my account) to my husband to replace the card he had given me. I'm highly embarrassed and totally dissatisfied that Amazon didn't have the courtesy to warn me that they had dispatched two cards erroneously and that I must make sure I check the numbers on the cards before handing it to someone. I certainly will never again obtain a gift card through Amazon for fear of this embarrasing situation occurring again!
