Hi Sammy. That will depend on the type of carpet. If the carpet is a longer, shaggy carpet, then Follow Me Fred may not move as well as he would on a shorter carpet or hardwood floors. Q: Will a 1 year old baby enjoy this toy?

Gave this to my, not quite 1 yr old, grand daughter....she loved it as well as all the older (3 yr, 2yr & 5 yr) grand kids....it's a lot of fun for all!
