Gooseneck 12 Volt Map Light Chart Light - Warm White (3800K) LED Lamp for Home, Car, Truck, Boat, RV and Aircraft Applications

My wife and I really like this gooseneck light. It is a little expensive, but it casts a bright, yet warm light. It came with a 110AC wall wart, but after unplugging it, was ready for 12V. We use these as reading lights both at home (110AV) and on our boat (12V). The gooseneck is robust and stays where you put it.

Mounting is wobbly, arrived broken at ferrule near the head (superglued ok). Otherwise works well. No 12V connector only 120v

The articulated flexible wand is a nice feature as is the 360 degree rotating head. The lamp produces brilliant illumination and can be directed in nearly any direction. The only area of compromise, (the reason for 4 stars), is the mounting base. The plastic base is designed to be secured with fasteners to a flat surface. Compared to other portions of the lamp, the base seems fragile.Because I had a unique mounting scheme, I cut off the lower part of the base and inserted into remaining section a hollow threaded rod, (the type typically used on many table lamps). A two component epoxy was applied to the threaded rod when it was inserted into the lamp base. In this configuration, the lamp was easily attached via a 0.50" diameter hole.

This is a lovely minimalistic lamp. I like that I could mount it on my bedroom wall. The assembly requires you to plug the cable from the lamp into the Edison (wall) cable, but that was very simple and straightforward. The light it gives off is a nice warmish neutral, which is perfect for book reading. There is a button on the head of it that is the on/ off switch, which adds convenience. The finish is rather nice, not too shiny, and seems like it won't scratch easily. Moving the neck produces no sound, and it keeps the position you place it in. This lamp satisfied all my wants and needs in a simple bedroom lamp.

Great idea we put one on each side of the bed for reading mounted to a stout piece of wood next to the bed. However the L bracket at the bottom of one lamp broke while traveling down the road. Not sure how long the second one will last?

Good light, easy to adjust to eliminate glare. Mounted in a Polaris Ranger as a cab light. Goosneck is strong and easily adjustable. I'm a bit concerned about the strength of the plastic mounting bracket, so I've put a couple of hose clamps around it rather than relying on the screws.

I've had this for a year and gets constant use. Mounted in rear inside of campershell, it's great for tailgate activities. The gooseneck performs perfectly and hasn't began drooping. It has rode down some rough washboard roads and still functions like new. I've wired it to my pickup's battery and used a 7.5 am inline fuse.

I'm not sure why they made the mounting bracket like they made it. It's made to fasten on an edge of sorts. I had to flip it over to get it to mount on a flat surface. As a result the countersunk recesses are now up against the mounting surface. So I couldn't use the beveled screws. Other than that little problem, they work just fine. Nice warm led lighting with almost too many led's for a bedside reading light but excellent for map reading, I'm sure.
