The Medieval Cookbook (New ed.) /anglais

My son and I like to cook and we've tried recipes from all over the world. It was getting more and more difficult to find new things to try. Saw this book and said, 'Why not'. We've both enjoyed reading it and using the recipes. It would make a unique gift for foodies.

Got this for my son. He's interested into period cooking and all things midieval so this was right up his alley. We like that it has the original recipe and then a translated version right next to it.

Looks like fun. Great stories included and explanations. Be sure to have saffron on hand as many of the recipes call for it. Or just order some when you order this book.

Great Book! Lots of terrific recipes and fantastic illustrations. Perfect for meal planning with a historical twist.

As a scale miniature maker I'm always looking for period items and recipes, make once and take LOTS of photos for reference. This cookbook is an incredible reference and the recipes looked and tasted wonderful!

We were able to use the cookbook to produce a communal meal for Agincourt 600. Finding many foods in common production today. Our Venison Ragu and fruit pies were a hit with the 30 or so diners on the day.

Nice book, but somehow the recipes seemed to have been modernised a bit too much. I would have preferred if the recipes had been translated and then a modern version of the recipe presented.

I must say, this book was brilliant! Very easy to use, and gave lots of advice, we have had a couple of very nice dinners indeed!
