A perfect present book, says me, a huge P. Wells fan
I love every cookbook this woman has ever produced. This one stands out because the recipes are of course wonderful but it also has more lovely photos than ever. This is a great present book. I leave it on my coffee table so guests can thumb through. I owe my relatively good cooking to P. Wells - I learned it all from Bistro and Trattoria - and I hope she keeps coming up with new ideas for years to come,

A charming book, but….
Like all Mrs. Wells’ books, this is filled with appealing recipes and delightful text. Just be aware that, despite the title, the recipes contain a lot of Asian ingredients, and there are constant references to Mrs. Wells’ Amazon store, which is supposed to be accessible through her website, but isn’t.

A Nice Addition to My Cookbook Collection
Loved the book. It has lots of practical tips and wonderful recipes that are easy--the tomatoe tarts are wonderful. I love reading cookbooks as much as cooking from them and this is definitely one that is fun and interesting to just read...from the Julia Child story to the tips on typical Provence foods. The wine pairings are a nice addition too. Enjoy

Simple and healthy food
Not only are the recipes unusual and delicious. But the cookbook has beautiful pictures and a joy to read. Her cookbooks just whet my desire to attend one of her cooking classes all the more.

Highly Recommend!
I was expecting a basic French Cookbook, so I removed one star. I like the French basics so I can create my own recipes as I am diabetic and with a few substitutions (sugar and grains) to the basics, French food is a joy! But the recipes are awesome and the book is beautiful and I highly recommend it.

Disappointing, beginner level only
Disappointing, considering Wells is an expert and has a great knowledge of French cuisine. It's really a beginners book only. And there are not many recipes either.
