dreamGEAR Rainbow Stylus Pack: Compatible with Nintendo NEW 3DS XL, Includes 5 Retractable Stylus, Fits Directly In New 3DS XL, Easy to Grip, Increases Touchscreen Accuracy

I purchased the dreamGEAR Rainbow Stylus 5-Pack for my husband to use with his New Nintendo 3DS XL because he kept misplacing the one that came with the system. I would have preferred either more masculine colors or for them to be all one neutral color - I'm sure I'll be hard-pressed to get my husband to brandish the pink or yellow ones out in public. Regardless, I was happy to find a multi-pack that would actually work with the "New" Ninetendo 3DS XL flawlessly.All 5 stylii fit perfectly into the slot in the console and are much easier to use than the one provided by the manufacturer because of the additional length. The tips are smooth, with no seams or sharp edges to scratch the Nintendo's screens. Also, they are lightweight, so there is little risk of hand fatigue outside of the fact that one is using a very skinny stylus.My only issue with these is that, in less than a month, the paint is peeling off of them. I don't know if there is lead in the paint or any other part of the stylii, and though my husband doesn't usually hold them in his mouth, the possibility exists that he or someone else might, thus causing some worry about the safety of the materials with which they are constructed. Otherwise, this is a good set that's compatible with New Nintendo 3DS XL and my husband has extras for each time he misplaces one around the house..

I bought this with one purpose: Replace a stylus that is no longer staying place in my New 3DS XL. Telescoping was a bonus because I was wondering if anyone would ever produce such things for the newer systems.This came in a cute little baby blue package. Bit of a pain to open to but the results are what matter: It DOES fit in a New 3DS XLThe one with the new buttons and C Stick, yeah that one. (Because of confusion) And yes, it comes with all the colors/quantities displayed in the picture.Here's the catch though: The notch protruding out of the upper part that keeps it locked in is a little larger than a regular one's would be. So it will fit, but some pressure needs to applied to get it in or it needs to be filed down ever so carefully. In which case regular use will probably wear it down to the point where it would fit in easily. This also probably explains why my current one slips out because the notch is worn down. I didn't file it down, nor would I recommend it unless you're willing to sacrifice a stylus.As for the telescoping, it's a little stiff/rough. In which case, again, extensive use probably will break it in and make things smoother.

I'm giving the product the benefit of the doubt. Three stars for being what it is: a retractable stylus that fits in my N3DSXL.That being said, the motion of retracting the stylus is rough. It doesn't appear to have actual metal around the inner portion as the original 3DS retractable stylus had.Another point about this stylus is that there's no noticeable difference in material from the tip to the rest. I'm fairly sure a dusty screen coupled with the noticeably rough feeling of these styluses on the bare touch-screen is what lead to the several small scratches that are now everywhere on my screen. In comparison, the default stylus is very smooth.In that sense, it's no where near Nintendo-quality, but it is what it is and works in that regard.That being said, I am an older gamer with little time; the DS line has always been nice for me to play in short bursts, and my new one is my baby (aside from my actual baby, but he doesn't do much). I'm also sad and pathetic because I nearly cried when I noticed scratches on the lower screen of my N3DSXL. At least they aren't very deep and are only noticeable on a dark screen and/or in certain lighting conditions.In summation, these styluses do as advertised. I would absolutely recommend only using them with a screen protector on (I never liked the feeling, so they aren't for me).

I initially reviewed these as 1 star for not fitting into the New 3DS XL as advertised - it wouldn't go all the way in to the stylus slot, even when unextended. But after a week of keeping hanging out the the slot it because my replacements haven't arrived yet, it actually did manage to fit in. So it does fit the 3DS XL, but the end is just slightly too thick. I took more force than I like to use on a game console to get it in, but it seems to be improving with time.Obviously not ideal, but you can get them into the stylus slot of the New 3DS XL with some work. They take a bit to get out again as well once they're in, so at least I can be confident it won't fall out.

I ordered these for my New 3DS XL, since the default one is so stubby. They do not fit into the 3DS correctly, as other reviewers said the top part sticks out of the slot.HOWEVER, after some experimenting I narrowed down the problem and found a way to make them fit perfectly.--->***All you have to do is file down the bump!***<---The tips on these are a bit long, which doesn't actually matter. And even though they're thinner than the default one, the bump prevents them from going all the way in. So literally all you have to do it take one of these, file the bump down about halfway so it will still click, but with a little push it will easily fit in perfectly.

They work and they don't have rough seamlines, but they do NOT fit in the stylus slot for the New 3DS XL. The stylus goes in and sits tight enough that it won't fall out, but the end is too fat for it to go all the way in and lay flush with the system like the original stylus does. It sticks out about a centimeter, just enough to be super annoying. I have a zippered case so I just stuck them all in one of the game slots, so it's not worth it to me to return these and play roulette with all the other styluses they claim to fit but don't.

Despite the fact that the product information states "Fits directly inside the New 3DS XL system", these styluses don't fit in my 3DS's stylus slot at all, they won't go in past a certain point so a significant portion of the stylus is sticking out and not secure in the slot. And, yes, I am using a New 3DS XL so I expected them to be compatible as advertised. Defeats the entire purpose of getting them.

Prácticas al ser retráctiles y una buena cantidad por el precio que se está pagando, me gustan los colores y entran bien en la new 3DSxl , pero entran de manera muy justa y hay que forzarlas un poco para meterlas y sacarlas lo cual me preocupa al largo plazo que pudier erosionar el compartimiento para el stylus con el tiempo :/A pesar de todo pienso que valen la pena porque son de buena calidad y la velocidad con la que llegó el paquete (4 días después de hacer el pedido!).

Hemos comprado otros lapicies para el DS pero ninguno como estos, son de metal envueltos en plastico pero es muy distinto a los que se ofertan en otros lugares más baratos, ademas que los colores son muy llamativos y el producto comple con lo que promete funcionalidad y calidad. El envio llego en 2 días y como siempre en perfectas condiciones. Muy recomendable su compra.

El detalle principal es que el nombre de la publicación dice Stylus Pack para 3DS XL sin embargo no es así, son para NEW 3DS XL. Les puede resultar obvio dado que en la segunda imagen (donde se muestra con empaque) el empaque sí dice que es para NEW sin embargo la primer imagen ni el título lo muestra así.La stylus sirve también para 3DS XL sin embargo no embona bien en el hueco que hay para meterla, de ahí que estéticamente no se ve bien.

Says it contains stuff that can cause cancer on the package, did not see that on the amazon listing. But great if you want to use to use for 3DS and don't have a chewing problem.
