Big room sound from small package!
The media could not be loaded. I couldn't wait to unpack the speaker this weekend to use why was doing chores around the house. First impressions wear that it was heavier than I expected. So build quality seems really good. Pairing was a breeze and my phone picked it right up. I have MP3's on my phone and immediately started sending my music to it via my phone's Bluetooth. I also connected it with an 8 inch auxiliary Jack. Both methods play the same sound quality. Every time I tried to video record the music playing it would automatically shut off the music. I don't know why my phone kept doing this but it would turn off the music app. I wanted to let you hear how loud it was. But I went ahead and recorded a video without the music so you can see what it looks like. I think video it's much better than photos for this speaker. It plays a lot of bass for such a small subwoofer. and yes I was able to get the subwoofer to the store if I turned up the bass too much and turned it too loud. But up until that point it was very loud and I really didn't need to push it any further. If you want to go that loud then do you need to play your home stereo. So any reviewer that mentions this nice understand that for its size and price point it exceeds my expectations. I'm going to buy a second one of these for my oldest son for Christmas in 2 months. The speaker produces very clear and concise highs and the bass level is great for the form factor. so as long as you don't go in expecting it to produce bass like a 12 inch subwoofer in a car, then I think you will be just as happy as I am with this speaker. I was able to take it room-to-room as I did chores to have music playing in the background. I had to shower heads to replace in two different bathrooms and when you use this speaker in a small room like a bathroom it's even louder. if you're reading my review and are thinking about buying this bigger, I highly recommend it and I'm certain that you will be happy with it. My wife came in to our bathroom while I was playing it and also commented on how that little speaker can play so loud!

A solid speaker for the price
This speaker has a lot to offer. It produces a warm, solid sound. It is powerful enough to fill a large space. Aesthetically it is beautiful. The switch in the back is easy to control. It looks and feels well-built.Two major cons: First, the bass is too strong to my taste. Like many other budget speakers, while powerful indeed, the bass from this speaker sounds dumb, eventually interferes with other mid-rage and high-range sound. I wish I could turn the bass function off, but the speaker doe not give me that option. Second, the plastic caps in the legs look cheap and flimsy.A few other reviewers pointed out that this speaker does not have a mode switch function. It does have. The TWS switch also functions as a mode switch. I don't understand why the manual did not specify it. Overall, this is a powerful and solid speaker for the price. It definitely sounds much better in a large space than other small portable speakers from JBL, Sony, Bose, etc. I paid about $55 after discount, and I don't regret.

Not much base to me at all when using a Micro SD card.
I'm totally blind. I got this speaker to mainly use with my iPhone 13 PRO being the message alert on the iPhone is very poor as far as volume and would never get me up at night. When I first got this speaker, I found that their is a button on the frontt of it. This is the power button from my testing. Manual was poor for a blind person to determine what is what. A short press of the front button turns on the speaker and you will get a asending tone. It will then give 2 beeps. At this point, the speaker is in bluetooth pairing mode. A long press of the button on the front of the speaker will turn it off and you will get a desending tone. If your phone automatically connects to the speaker! You will get a tone letting you know that.Their are at least 3 buttons on the back of the speaker near the top of it. The top most is Answer call/Play Stop. The lower 2 are Volume down on the left side of the y Short press. Long press is previous track when playing music. Right side of the y is volume UP short press and Track forward when long pressed. The volume down has a minus and the volume up has a plus sign. I'm not 100% sure of how to switch modes on the speaker. I'm thinking you press the middle of the y but not for sure. For me, using it as a loud speaker for the iPhone 13 Pro to be able to hear the message alert tone when I'm sleeping it works well. When playing music from an Micro SD card, I don't really notice any base. The trevel is good. The volume at full music is also very good. Don't really notice any base not like a subwoofer would have as the description says.Don't know if you can change the base and the like on the speaker itself. Also don't know how to go back to the start of the Micro SD card when playing music. I got it to do it once or twice But not forsure how. So could be a few other buttons I'm not aware of. After all, the one I got I didn't get a remote control with it.

Purchased for the fact it was classy AND had a remote...BUT
UPDATE: The seller got back to me rather quickly and offered a replacement or a refund, with the option to keep the speaker. I chose to be refunded and will put the speaker aside to use if I absolutely need it. However, I will be looking for a different one. I appreciate their response and the choices they provided.******I was looking for a decent bluetooth speaker for my office that had a remote. I wanted this one to be on the lower shelf of a table across the room and didn't enjoy the thought of getting up every time I wanted/needed to adjust it. This one was a bit higher in cost than I wanted but it was the right size and it had a remote. I received it yesterday and immediately got it set up. Good weight, quality feel of the materials, nice size. The bad? The selling point - the REMOTE - is useless. It doesn't work consistently, if it works at all. I ended up having to turn it on by using the unit's power button. The volume buttons are iffy when it comes to response time. I have messaged the seller and will update my review per their response.Final thoughts: Decent speaker. Just don't order the one with the remote until they fix the issue. Plus the non-remote options have colors!

Good first impression
Well aside from taking 20 days to get to me when it was supposed to take 1 day (thanks COVID), I'm glad I chose this product. Sound quality is everything to me (I am a musician). I had a Fugoo XL which served me well for about 3 years but finally kicked the bucket. I wanted something that sounds big, to replace a home stereo but with bluetooth convenience.Generally bluetooth speakers are small in order to be portable, but this approach sacrifices sound quality. Tiny speakers do not project much (ie. move air). For solid bass, you need a sub or radiator with good excursion because lows have longer waves due to their low frequencies. The Jewel Pro has one of each on top of its dual 2" (full range?) drivers.Having said all this, the Jewel Pro is fairly unidirectional (compared to the Fugoo). Its sound suffers if you are off-axis in spite of being angled for dispersion, but the sound really is good through a variety of genres. The Jewel Pro is louder than my Fugoo which was already acceptable. Can't wait to hear it with movies and I'm already considering another for stereo pairing. To boot, it was half the price of my Fugoo XL. It apparently has no battery so that makes it less flexible but the manual says to charge it?? Confusing. It also looks cool which is a bonus. So far so good, hope it lasts!

Great sound, great value
Excellent sound in an attractive design. I've listened to a large variety of music and everything sounded great. A great bargain that fits my space perfectly. I will likely get a second one for stereo pairing. Highly recommend!I'm a music lover and sometimes singer songwriter, and I want to hear all of the players on a song. Canadian alt-rock is my favorite sub-genre but enjoy many others. This speaker is amazing for real instruments playing rock music!Uodate: bought a second one and oh my...lush stereo sound with pairing. Wow!

Live for thumping bass? - This might not be for you.
This is a good looking device. I placed mine in the gap between my kitchen cabinets and the ceiling and it looks like it was made to sit there. It connects without issue and the pairing sound isn't so loud that it wakes the neighbours (some bluetooth speakers chime so loudly they'll wake your children from across the house). The good: The looks. The designers put time into making this something other than "just another black box". It stands about a foot tall, has a black cloth grill across the face of the device and chromed steel legs holding it up from behind. Why haven't I mentioned the sound? - Because while the sound is perfectly acceptable when played at lower volumes, this speaker suffers from a case of 'form over function'. I'm not saying the sound is lousy (it isn't), but you might be a bit disappointed. In my case, the sound wasn't disappointing enough to return the speaker, just not quite what I was hoping forThe cons: That unique design limits this device in terms of outright sound quality. In profile (as seen from the side), this speaker is very narrow and despite having a dedicated bass driver, that narrow enclosure greatly limits the bass output.Instead of the confident, deep frequency bass that you're used to hearing in your favorite song, the bass is much more subdued. The sound of the bass is more like clapping your hand against an empty shampoo bottle than that emanating from a subwoofer. What bugs me, is that had the designers doubled the interior air volume of the enclosure itself, bass reproduction wouldn't be an issue at all; but then the design would have suffered.I'm also not entirely crazy about the blue 'device connected' light on the front. It's quite bright, and flashes when disconnected - not great if you turn off your laptop between uses. I covered mine with a piece of black electrical tape.In conclusion, while I'm critical of the sound, I'm being picky. I'm used to the sound of bigger speakers and might be a touch harsh in my appraisal of this device. If played at low/moderate volume levels, you'll be quite happy with this.If you need that bass, or play LOUD; consider one of the many look-a-like black box speakers on the market instead.

Let me down
If you’re a bass head like me...this will let you down. I was drawn in with the whole “subwoofer” but it’s not very impressive. I do love the fact that it plays TF cards/ micro sd cards very well! I saved tons of music to the card and it’s very easy to play mp3 on it. For non bass-heads it should be more than suitable.

Sound
I bought this because it looks cool but that's pretty much all you can get out of this product. Disappointed with the sound but it is what it is.
