I am a follower of Tibetan Buddhism and have more exposure to Mahamudra lineage in the past. I bought this book on Bon Dzogchen out of curiousity and veneration of realized female practitioners in general. I read a few pages into some instructions, they are great.

The Ermakovs and Nagru Geshe Gelek Jinpa do a great job of translating this important teaching by Yongdzin Lopon Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche. The illustrations are beautiful and helpful. The teachings in this book are a treasure.

For those interested in the Bön tradition of Tibet, the introduction to this book is great at describing some of the key concepts of non-meditation and the natural state. The book also goes through, from the very beginning, an unbroken lineage of female Bön masters, each of whom achieved rainbow body after passing on their wisdom to a key student. The lineage description ends with Chozo Bonmo, who is sometimes called "the mother of Bön". Given there is, in general, a leaning towards male lineages, it was very satisfying to read this text showing that both men and women are equally able to achieve great levels of mastery over the mind.

So rare to find a book focused on the teachings of khandros. For that reason alone it is a treasure.

Favorite book of all time, expresses the core teachings with art, and pith quotations. Beautiful, simple and profound at the same time.
