This one last 2 years and 2 months. Why LG use this plastic POS to hold a moving part?????

Easy repair if you start with the right screws. Part is perfect.
Repair LG microwave with ExtendaVent not staying closed with this simple little part. Just remove the 8 outer screws under the microwave and the whole vent assembly comes right off (remember to disconnect the small power plug / and unplug from the wall). The little latch piece should be easy to remove, just pry it out gently with a small flat screwdriver. New piece slides right in and will click when in place. Put it back up and you are back in business for under $30!
