To prevent leaking do NOT over tighten
The media could not be loaded. I have bought and used the original BriteTap twice until it broke each time. I had the first one for almost 2 years and the second for for 2.5 years. This time I went looking for it I realized the original one was no longer being sold and they came out with BriteTap 2. (Oct 2021 for $22.18)It looks nice and is simple to install however, it kept leaking. I tried a couple times and realized when the gasket was getting splayed I was over tightening. If you don't over tighten it will work just fine with zero leaks.See Attached pic and video :)So far so good! Looks great and is working fine! Since I just got it, I will update if there are any issues or if starts leaking any time soon.

Works great!
It fits the water igloo perfectly and the directions how to attach it are super easy. I did not over tighten as the instructions said to not do and it does not leak. My girls love it. The water keeps cooler for longer which is important on the hot days we have.

Best Cups to Use?

Best ever!
These are great! I have had no problems with chickens learning to use them. Best "chicken" purchase I have made. In facts, I have bought 3 of them for my different coops.

Mine leaked day one
I ordered this product because I had ordered their first prototype years ago for my chickens and it was great. This is their second attempt at manufacturing a waterer that fits in an igloo cooler. The first one I got had a split in it at the reservoir and it leaked so I returned it and asked for a replacement. The replacement came the next day, and it had a split in the exact same place so, of course, I chose to return it with just a replacement of my money. However, I did call Brite tap the company to ask them about this only because I knew their first prototype had worked very well for me. The company explained that he had sold this product to other retailers, and it had not panned out for him the way he had hoped. The ones that I have he said are old merchandise and that is why they were broken upon arrival by two. He was very good to deal with and send me out one immediately to replace the two defective ones. If you were interested in this product, I would suggest that you call the manufacturer themselves and deal with them, as he says, he is no longer going to deal with outside retailers because of the problems he has had. my history with them has been that they have good products. I believe that the ones I received were sitting in someone’s store and sent to me without checking them first.

Leaks like crazy
I bought two of these, based on a favorable review in the Chicken Whisperer magazine. So sorry I did.I spent probably an hour trying to get the first one installed so that it wouldn't leak. I used the recommended type of beverage cooler (Igloo) to attach it to. First it leaked from the part that screws into the cooler. After a lot of tries, I got it screwed in with the washer sitting juuuuuussst right so that it finally stopped leaking. Then as soon as I adjusted the angle of the drinking nipples slightly, it started leaking again. I emptied the cooler again and started over. I couldn't get it to completely stop leaking this time, and now it's leaking from one of the drinking nipples as well.I don't really understand why this is so difficult. I have a 5-gallon nipple poultry waterer that I bought years ago and it has never leaked. I did notice that the washer on the BriteTap is exceptionally soft and stretchy, and it seems like if you get it screwed in tight enough to stop any dripping, it's also tight enough to deform the washer and make it leak from that.Am I installing it wrong? Maybe, but we'll never know since there are no instructions, diagrams, or photos of how to install it included with the product. As for the second one, I don't know if that one leaks. After doing the first one, I didn't have the patience to deal with another.UPDATE: When I was opening the 2nd unit, I did find instructions sandwiched between the cardboard backing of the packaging. I had installed it wrong. Installing it correctly eliminated the leak coming from the opening in the cooler, but there is still the leak around the nipple. Also, the 2nd unit had a crack where one of the nipples screwed into it, so I had to return it. It's a good concept, but I wish the quality control was better.
