Precious Story!
This book is so beautiful and so well written. The message of the book is simple yet profound. I bought five of them to give us gifts when friends & family have a baby. You will want to read it again and again!

Beautiful art, odd language...
Overall; I love this book. I love the style of illustration which is a huge selling point. The message, though hindered, is wonderful. By hindered I mean I have to change most of the wording in the first two instances relating the ocean and the mountains to God's love. I wish I had been the editor for this book. I get the author's idea for the rhythm and that's why it happened but I am suprised they didn't think about it....it's like they didn't proof read their own work or were tired. "the ocean never ends"...yes it does. Just like the mountains. I don't understand where this even is on Earth that you can't see the too of the mountains but where I live you can.....so that was very obvious. Let alone my 7 year old has known for some time that the ocean ends....there's the sky and space.....so it does. Technically I suppose you could say the same about the sky but that part didn't bother me as from where we are mostly (the ground) the sky does expand beyond our understanding. But we know about the ocean and the mountains ending clearly. I want it to be a message that my kid won't remember and say to themselves "but those things do end.....so does God's love also end? " Considering the comparison in the book. I'm disappointed but also it's still a beautiful message all in all. I'll just be editing it out myself to say "Gods love goes on and on..." Or "But the oven does end, Gods love does not" . Semantics or what not.

Great children’s story, especially if you love the mountains and oceans! 💗
This is a beautiful short story for young children. Although, I’m 56, and it still touched my heart. The lesson of this story, shown to the boy by his parents, is that Gods love is ever present and enduring, evident in the beauty of nature. As an adult, what this means to me, is that when things get intense, and depression and anxiety kick in, it’s a must to retreat into nature and to be in awe of the majesty, just as we were as little children. Or even if we can’t get out into nature, if we could just take the time to reflect on the majesty in the world around us. There’s well-being there.

it was easy, no surprises
I received the V1LG as a Christmas gift. I had researched this camera ahead of time and based on reviews and unit price I thought it would be worth checking out. I installed the V1LG in a 2007 Mustang GT, it was easy, no surprises. Used it for the first time today and at this point I’m pleased. When I start my car It powers up, records everything front and rear. The videos are clear and smooth. I like the built-in GPS. My only complaint is the adhesive used to mount the front camera, it’s white, sticks out like a sore thumb. Not good if you’re trying for a discreet installation. The adhesive for the rear camera is black, you don’t even notice that its there. So far, so good.

Very Good
This is a beautiful book to remind young and older children alike that indeed creation declares the glory of God. God's touch is in it all, forsaken never."For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse." - Romans 1:20 NIV

Beautiful Book with a Beautiful Message
Max Lucado's book, "The Boy and the Ocean" is one that you will want to share with the children in your life. The book teaches that "God's love is special," and "it never ends." T. Lively Fluharty's illustrations are amazing!

Beautiful Illustrations, lovely story, but drags out in repetition.
I dread to give this only 3 stars. I love Max Lucado's books and the illustrations are always a "WOW". However, this story is a bit preachy and repetitive. My 4 year old granddaughter enjoys the illustrations but ... she drifted about half way through this book and started singing and talking. Keep in mind, she loves books. I do mean loves! Free time for her is grabbing a book, not a doll. Field trip for her is going to the Library, not the park. So, when she lost interested, I thought "Yikes!!!" ..... I now, alter this when I read it, and change it up a bit, because the ILLUSTRATIONS are beautiful and the story is precious. It is worth reading again and again... but to keep her interest, I use my altered version.

The boy and the ocean
Bought initially for Church library, I have lent it to the Minister to use as part of his children's address one Sunday. as it is a wonderful book about God's love. My only criticism (and this is purely from a personal viewpoint) is that it refers to both parents individually being involved in the child's spiritual growth. Sadly these days this is not always the case, and some children are from broken families, so care is needed when reading it in a group situation. The book may need to be carefully rephrased in these circumstances.

Where are the illustrations?
The image on the front cover is there, but there are no images inside the book. Just the text! Like ordering vegemite on toast and just getting a dollop of vegemite.

New favourite!
I read this book and fell in love with it! It is beautifully written and gorgeously illustrated! It is my new favourite children's book. I bought it for my classroom in the Christian school I teach at, and purchased a copy for my nephew as well. I will be purchasing more copies to give as gifts to the other children in my life too.
