The Message Large Print

The Bible arrived quickly. This is my favourite version and I love the print. Photos attached for reference.

Gladly, The Message has finally made Kindle Edition and it's a great book. I've often looked The Message up, hoping to get a Kindle version eventually. After reading a few reviews, I've found a way to get to each chapter of each Biblical Book. It's very easily done using a Kindle Fire, but should work on all Kindles. First, bring up the Location Bar by tapping the screen. Take that bar right back to the beginning of the book. You should now see the front cover. Tap the pages through until you get to Loc 40, as it reads on my Location bar. You should now be viewing the Bible's Contents page. Now tap a book. I'll choose Genesis. From there, each chapter is listed. Pick one. Simply and easily navigable. If you're using another version of Kindle, sling me a message and I'll talk you through the buttons to press for navigation.I'm really pleased to have, and, to be able to read this new version. Very nicely laid out electronically.

I already have The Message in the N.T. and having chosen over the past few years to read through the Bible in One Year, thought it might be interesting to read the O.T. in The Message. I have not been disappointed. Some of the difficult passages have 'new life' breathed into them. At times the dialogue has been quite funny and has helped form pictures in ones mind of the passages Eugene is portraying. I have chosen a 5 star rating as it is quite a refreshing read and would suit any age from 8 years upwards through into adult years.Happy reading for those who choose to purchase this Bible.

My difficulty with this edition is identifying chapter and verse. It is written, probably as the bible was laid out before King James crew got their hands on it, all in one long run. Each book is a chapter, and there is no breakdown between. It makes bible study very difficult.The use of modern language is good, and it is quite well written, if a little juvenile and slangy. However, its not my style, I'm well educated and find it easier to study a more formal style of writing.

I find most of the wording in this Bible very easy to understand and follow. I personally do not like a few of the words used AND I do no think "The Lord's prayer" is worded v well. The entire Chapter 6 of Matthew is to my view, excellent BUT for the Lord's prayer. When you read the Lord's prayer, you do not have a sense of it at all. Nevertheless, I applaud the writer and editor. Well done and God continues to bless you and give you more wisdom to do His work with perfection.Shalom - lady K

I own the hardback edition of this beautiful bible, so imagine my delight when I discovered shortly after purchasing a kindle touch that you could get a kindle edition!Unfortunately the kindle edition is useless.You cannot navigate chapters, let alone verses on the kindle itself.Bizarrely however, you can navigate chapters (not verses) if you put it on an android tab and use the kindle app from playstore.

This is a version of the bible which I started to read as a study aid but now it’s my go to Bible and has blessed me time after time

Love it! The print is fabulous for leading sessions and just causually reading.
