Misrepresented run times, short strap, and too many light modes
This light appears to be very well built, light, and rugged. The on/off button is not flimsy. It also looks good. That's why I'm still giving it 3 stars on this review. Also, it may be okay for some activities. However, the manual for the 1000XL states that it should operate for 3 hours in blast mode (500 lumens). It doesn't. For a brand new light and a full charge, you'll get just over 2 hours in blast mode. After that, it switches to some sort of "conservation" mode where it gives off about as much light as an orange cat. There's also a ridiculous number of selectable modes. More than four modes is stupid and this light has eight. Finally, the rubber securing strap is barely long enough for some bars and helmet mounts, including the one sold by Lezyne. That's a lot of bad stuff. Still, the product has potential. Put in a decent battery (or change the specs), make the strap 1" longer, and cut the number of modes in half and you'll have a winner.

Used these lights on 2 full day bike rides (12 hours) in slow blink mode without issue.
We've had great experiences with the LEZYNE 800XL and 1000XL bike lights. We own four of them, 2 of each brightness. Both are great and both are very bright lights. I especially like the mounting because it's quick and easy to move the lights from one bike to another and take them off for charging. The rubber strap mounting makes it easy. We had 3 bikes on our bike tour and bought a 4th light just in case, but we really didn't need it as the lights would last a full day without requiring charging when left in the slow blink mode. They don't last as long in the 1000 lumens mode but there are times when that mode is nice for safety.

Meh...
Been using for about 6 months now. Pro: The brightness can't be beat. Have had comments on how bright it is. Very visible. Cons: Mounting strap. Difficult to secure, and not tight enough to keep the light stable. As you ride, it slowly rotates around the handlebar, and starts to point upward. Have to keep pushing it down, no matter how tight you manage to get it. Don't buy any of the polished metal versions. I have the bare aluminum. When the sun hits it a just the right angle, it blasts sunlight into your eyes. No matter how dark you sunglasses are. Get the matte black. Battery doesn't seem to last. I ride mostly during daylight, so I keep it on the fastest flash mode. Very bright, and fast. Unfortunately, it generally will last me only two 30 mile rides. A total of about 3.5 hours of riding. Not the minimum of 8 hours claimed on the highest setting. There ya have it. If Lezyne would make a few tweaks on this light, like better mounting, discontinue bare metal versions, and improve battery service, it would be perfect. I still recommend it, but would give 5 stars if it weren't for the cons...

Powerful light, lacking mount system
I love the light. It's powerful, and actually has way more settings than I really need (I don't know who needs that many different settings.) Anyway, the thing I don't like about it is the mounting system. The mount is not quick release. And the strap is so small that it's a stretch to attach it to the last hole on when I wrap the strap around the handlebars of my road bike and one of my two mountain bikes. Why they can't make it bigger, I don't understand. And, of course, it doesn't fit on my helmet. This would be ideal if it came with a quick release system and mounting strap options (even if I had to buy different straps for different uses). That way, I could use this one light on a variety of bikes or helmets and not have to buy an expensive light for each application.

SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!!!
I have been flashed by cars more than a few times with this light its no joke the beam spreads wide all the way across the road. The issue i have with pretty much all these light is the battery life at the highest setting you get just a bit over an hour. I stopped using it on that setting so now i have a (500 lumen light with the battery back for a 1000 lumen light. This light has a bit of heft to it so if you are trying to shave weight on your bike this wont help. but if you want to see and be seen this is close to ass good as it gets

go pro mount is a must
This light is rock solid. BUT, the best part is how well the go pro mount accessory works. Hanging upside down under my computer and doesn't budge. Not as bright as the light I replaced. But good beam pattern and plenty of light for gravel riding. I might not feel great about it for fast nighttime MTB, but haven't tried.

Woefully overpriced
Woefully overpriced, this light did everything as described, but I didn't like:* the attachment strap - why not provide a proper quick release mount, I think given the price they could have afforded this? This is a fiddly silicone grip mount and the light position moves around over time rather than staying at a set angle. Admittedly the flexibility can be useful, but why not offer both and give people the choice? (-1 star)* Switching on - When long pressing it sometimes skips the first mode for me. (-1 star)* Too many modes - why not provide a few buttons to cycle through the most important sets? Some people just want full beam and off. Some want full/flash. Rarely will I want all 8 on one button. For the sheer price again, multiple buttons wouldn't be an unreasonable expectation. Not seamless to use at all (-1 star)Final thoughts: Not worth it, I'd rather buy 3x cheap £20 lights and risk having 1 or more fail.

low profile & sturdy
Has a lower profile than other lights i've owned, which I appreciate. Don't want chunky things sticking out making my bike look bad, that's what the rider is for. Also feels noticeably more 'solid' and sturdy than similar lights I've had. Glad I bought it.

Stopped working the next day
After 30mins of use on the first day it became faulty when I turned it on the next day (only cycles through two modes). Overall I liked the solid build and brightness but was disappointed that it comes with a cheap strap mount while battery life wasn’t great either.Item going back to Amazon as fast as it was delivered.
