Fantastic resource. For anyone who needs MPlus
Fantastic resource. For anyone who needs MPlus, I think you can do anything you need with theee resources: the Kevin Kelloway book (basic into to latent models and mplus), Holmes and finch (multilevel modeling) and the muthens discussion forum for as-how advice. I’m not the strongest stats person but published in A journals using these resources.

The books itself is a useful resource, but it has been very poorly edited
The book itself is a useful resource, but it has been very poorly edited. The major issue is that, in the opening chapters, the authors frequently refer to the R software platform when they clearly mean Mplus. I note that one of the authors has previously published a book called 'Multilevel Modeling Using R', and sections/chapters have obviously been copied wholesale from that book without the appropriate amendments. Other errors were noted that should have been picked up in the copy editing stage. Hopefully, these will be corrected in future editions of the book. This aside, the book is comprehensive and clear. There was a gap for such a book and I'm pleased to have found it.

Not very useful for understanding multilevel analysis
Not very useful for understanding multilevel analysis, not good for Mplus either. I don't think the authors themselves have full and detailed understanding of multilevel analysis nor Mplus.
