Lucky Line Extra Large Magnetic Key hider Plastic Case Key Holder for Large Keys (9121)

We need an extra hiding place for my mom's house this is great it's big if it's a lot of keys in there the front door back door it's discreet it's magnetic it's very strong magnet it's discreet it's very sturdy.

Great little box! Magnets are powerful.

The magnet is strong so it can be placed on a vertical metal wall or attach to the underside of a metal shelf. The case easily holds the 3 keys I put into it. I keep it as a backup in case I forget the primary keys, so I don't open and close it at all. It seems sturdy if you plan on using it often. It's pretty easy to hide if you have metal furniture. I'd recommend it for it's intended purpose.

Not entirely sure how to rate this key hider. The negatives include a number of things. The sliding door is pretty easy to open, it doesn't seem real secure. The magnets are only moderately strong, and mounted loosely so that the plastic box jiggles a bit even when the magnets are gripping. Annoyingly, the permanent "Key Hider" logo prominently lets anyone who sees it know what it is. All that being said, I stuck it under the truck and drove around for a few days and it remained in place. So I put my key in it and we'll see how it does over time. I will say that since I have a truck, it was easy to find a flat spot on the top of the frame which was fairly secure. You might have a harder time finding a good spot in a typical unibody vehicle. (Mounting in a stationary location like outside your house would be fine.) I'll def update this review if it fails, so however much time has passed since I wrote this review is how long it has lasted. Update: In the month since I've had it, I drove about 1000mi including 50 miles of rough dirt roads, and the box is still where I attached it to the frame. So far so good!

These are a great option for keeping spares safe. The magnets on each box are really strong and have no problem attaching to several tested surfaces: car, shed, HVAC. Each box (XL size) has room for multiple keys, larger sizes keys, or other items.

My Honda key includes the remote lock so it is extra long. It does not fit inside this case. I can fit my Frontier key in it but not the remote locking for. Fortunately I can lock and unlock that vehicle with just the key. Magnet is very strong but I am not sure about the sliding cover staying closed when driving the vehicle. So might not be handy for carrying spare in case of locking keys in vehicle.

Now I must say I did not use this for a large car key! It is used for a regular store or house key, so would not be under a tire well or bumper so I can not tell you if it stays put or not under those conditions. But it stays hidden where I have it and has not been jarred loose. the box is actually big enough for several keys so it you needed more than one lock and hidden keys for each, this is big enough. it is easy to open and easy to put back in place, no complaints from me.

Very strong magnet. It won't fit the larger vehicle keys but it's very useful to store an extra house or other regular size key.

I bought this for a customer to hide a Ford fob style key, 2015 truck. Too small. Needs to be 1/2" longer to fit a remote fob key. Has 2 magnets for holding, but if you cannot put a new style key into it, now I have one for sale cheap.
