Glideaway Odessa Adjustable Bed with Voice Activated Alexa Technology and Elevate Lift Motor (Split California King)

We just received the Glideaway Odessa adjustable bed frame and slept our first night on it. We purchased the Queen size and it arrived sooner than expected. Note, the Queen comes in 1 piece and is quite heavy, so consider White Glove setup unless you have enough muscle to get it in the house. The setup is pretty easy, the only difficulty is dealing with the weight (estimate it to be around 300 lbs for the Queen).We did not purchase the optional Elevation kit (which can be added later) or the remote. The elevation kit will tilt the entire bed from the Head so that if you have a medical condition (ie Acid Reflux) you can be elevated but side sleepers are still supported since the mattress itself is still flat but at an elevated angle.This bed supports both wifi (5 ghz!) and Bluetooth so we did not purchase the optional remote. Steps for setup:1. Download the App (Android: ComfortBase for Wifi)2. Register your account on the app3. Login with your new account4. The app instructions state to press the bed frame usb reset button 4x to get it to start flashing, mine started flashing as soon as I plugged in power.5. Start the app and directly connect to the bed's wifi to configure it (I didnt screenshot the bed wifi, but it will be a strange alphanumeric listing something like: icr_cbr1234)6. Once connected to the bed wifi, the app will automatically start to configure the bed.7. Join the bed to your home wifi network by selecting your home wifi when the app prompts.8. Name the bed. Note: this name will be used in the Alexa commands. Note2: if you have a split king you will need to name both sides so that you can tell them apart in the app and via Alexa.9. Start to use the app!The app works well to control the bed, there are 2 memory presets that we havent setup yet. i will update my review if these are problematic. The motors are not loud when moving the bed. The Pillow-tilt feature is great!!Zero G is a sleep oriented Zero G (it's not very aggressive). We will likely use a Memory preset for a zero-g with more elevation for watching TV / Reading.Massage: This is the only feature that was a bit disappointing. The massage is advertised as having wave functionality, however, there is only 1 massage unit towards the Head unlike other beds which have two massage units (Head + Feet). The massage wave function of this bed is more like a Pulse than a wave. You can control the speed of the pulses and their intensity, but there is not a "wave" effect. We are runners and are a bit disappointed that the massage is limited to upper body only and there is no leg massage. This wasn't apparent in the documentation that I reviewed prior to purchase.We have this bed paired with a Ghost Lux mattress, which is soft, but still firm (almost feels like a pillow-top). We will probably try out the Puffy Luxe which should be a bit less firm. The mattress appears to pair well with Odessa frame and doesn't overly bow or have airgaps during movement. We have had our mattress for a week so the out-gassing phase is over. We didn't experience any strange smells sleeping on the new bed.Overall, the quality of the Glideaway Odessa seems very nice. We dropped it into our sleigh bed style frame and it fit fine. I did use the maximum leg length to get the frame higher. Note the USB ports have limited access due to the siderails of our Sleighbed frame.We are very happy with the bed, I will setup the Alexa functionality today. Watching TV and Reading was great!! We are both side sleepers and tried sleeping in Zero-G, but I think that is more for back sleepers. I felt too bent and wanted to sleep horizontal. We will try the Anti-snore tonight which has about 10 degree less head elevation than Zero-G.Overall we are happy with the purchase; this is a furniture class bed. Our only negative feedback is no leg massage. Since we don't really need the Elevate feature, I might have gone with the Leggett & Platt Prodigy Comfort Elite if I realized the massage difference.
