Absolutely Genious!
When I bought this I was slightly skeptical, but was willing to try anything. We weren't infested with mice, and had up to this point never even seen a house mouse. But we started to notice one little guy running the length of our hallway at night while we were relaxing on the couch. He was a cutie, but I knew we had to take care of the problem before our one little cutie turned into dozens.I bought this trap due to the great reviews and because I couldn't stand the thought of waking up one morning to find a little dead mouse. We are gentle people, what can I say! Well, the trap got here yesterday, we put it in the hallway up against the wall where we see him run every night, and this morning when I got up there he was! As I write, he is in the trap, unharmed, and we didn't even bait it. I am now going to let him go far away from here, lest he find his way back to this little house with two little boys who inadvertently leave him crumbs everywhere! This trap is amazing. I am going to put it out again tonight just in case we DO have more furries than we realized, but I am almost positive that he is it. This has been so easy, so painless, and really just amazing. I HIGHLY recommend this product!

I got a few mice in the house so I tried this to catch multiples at a time without having to reset it. It didn't catch a single mouse. I thought maybe it was in a bad spot, so I moved them and put a snap trap in it's place in the garage. The snap trap caught a mouse that day and the live traps still had nothing. I never touched them with my bare hands, baited and placed them with gloves. I wish it did work, because it would be convenient to catch multiples at one time. And my wife would prefer to catch and release, but no such luck.

Doesn't catch any mice
First the problems with the device. There are two "door" mechanisms on each trap. On the first trap, one of the "door" mechanisms was jammed so that it would not activate without extreme pressure. After examining it, I found that the "door" mechanism was not completely installed in its proper location. After a little coaxing, I managed to get the mechanism in the right location. On the second trap, one of the mechanisms wasn't even installed. It was just loose inside the trap. This one took a bit more time to install - it can't be just pushed on. The position of the trap doors prevents it from being installed. You have to flip the door to the other position to get it half way on, an then flip it back to its normal position to get it all the way on.As far as functioning, it doesn't. After leaving it for a week without any bait in a location where I know there are mice, it did not catch any mice. I tried it in another location with know mice and still did not catch any mice after two weeks. Maybe I'll try adding some bait to see if that helps.

Work amazingly well!!
We had a big time rodent problem in out kitchen, but I couldn't bring myself to kill them. We had previously used the green "house" style traps, which worked but could only catch single mice at a time and the latch broke on them after about 2 uses. Saw the reviews on these and thought we'd give them a try. After reading reviews and tips here, I baited one the first night with some peanut butter right in the middle of the inside and sprinkled a little birdseed on it for good measure. No luck. So the next day I put a tiny bit of peanut butter up either ramp and again, at the suggestion of another reviewer, tossed a little birdseed up the ramps. Next day their was one big fat mouse in the trap! Yay, success! The next night I set the second trap up same way (with peanut butter inside and also a little bit up the ramps). Next morning there were two mice. On subsequent nights we caught 3 and then 2 more, so a total of 8. I really thought the holes into the trap would be too small but that did not seem to be an issue. I am going to continue to use these until we no longer are catching any mice. Took our unwanted house guests to a field across the road and about half mile from the house so as to not put mess with any nearby ecosystem but far enough from our house and the neighbors that they wouldn't be making anyone else's lives difficult. Releasing them is simple - the top opens pretty easily. Just watch out as they do "hop" out and sometimes run under the ramps to hide so need a little encouragement. I am so delighted with the purchase. What a relief to be free of our mouse problem without having to use dangerous poisons or other kill traps

Be careful with Dogs
I am amazed at how easy and successful these traps have worked. We have caught a dozen mice in just a couple of days in our chicken coop. Here's the problem though. Our dog found the traps with mice running around inside and it ripped the clear plastic out of one to kill the mice and took the other trap out into our field to do the same. It took us a few days to find the second trap. I ended up having to screw wire mesh down on the trap instead of the plastic window and now they work just fine.If you have a dog make sure you take the time to train it not to tear into the traps trying to get the mice caught inside.Amazingly enough the traps still work great - only the clear plastic was broken on both and it was simple to fix. These traps are durable and I recommend them to anybody without a dog, or a well trained dog.
