Free TV!
I thought that air channels were a thing of the past, but I was pleasantly surprised to see free channels again. Worked much better mounted on the wall above my TV. I can't believe how many channels are still out there, way more than I grew up with =]

Location is Everything
Like a of people these days, I am trying to cut or reduce my ever-increasing cable TV bill. I have been very interested in trying an over-the-air DTV antenna because I am supposed to be able to get all of my local channels and a few others without having to pay a monthly bill. I went to the website listed on the product’s package and found where my local towers are and which channels I am supposed to get. I live way out in the country, so I wasn’t expecting much. Surprisingly, there were several channels listed that were either barely in my range or just out of range. Things were looking up! After hooking the antenna up, running a channel scan, relocating the antenna, running another scan, and repeating the process a couple more times, this is what I think of it:• Well made – doesn’t look or feel like a cheap piece of junk.• Attractive appearance – the gray weave face cover makes this something I don’t feel the need to hide.• Multiple mounting methods – it can be hung on the wall or it has a stand so it can sit on a cabinet or in a windowsill.• Very short cable – the cable is only 5-feet, so it doesn’t leave a lot of room for adjustment or relocation.• Cable is hard wired – there is no simple way of unplugging the coax cable and using a longer one.• Doesn’t work through walls – the TV I wanted to use this for is on the opposite side of the house from the direction of the broadcast antennas, so there are no windows in that direction. I wasn’t able to get a single channel.• Works through windows – it worked on a different TV that has access to a window that would allow the antenna aim towards the broadcast antennas. I didn’t get a lot of channels, but as I said, the broadcast antennas are on the edge of this antenna’s stated range.Overall, I can see that this antenna would work well if I was in range of the broadcast antennas and my TV was in the right location, so I won’t mark it down for that, however, I am taking a star because the coax cable is hard-wired and won’t allow me to use a longer cable to extend the antenna placement. Other than that, I think this is a good product and I recommend it.

Nice and Simple and works better than most "amplified" ones
I've tried several antennas which had "amplifiers" and they all had issues staying connected to signals. So I decided to give this one a try and of all the ones I tried this one keeps the signals the best. I'd recommend giving this one a try!

Not great
very disappointed in this product. I had it plugged into my office tv hoping to have basic channels just for entertainment purposes for clients and numerous attempts without any luck getting a signal. I’m also in a very populated rural area about 25miles from NYC where this says it would reach that far. Very disappointed

Not for NYC apartments
My original indoor antenna was Amazon Basics antenna which has been at least 5 years old now. I saw the fabric Philips antenna and find it quite stylish and add a nice decor to my living room. However, I was disappointed with the reception on the Philips. In NYC apartments, I barely get any reception at all. The channels I get were non essential. I'm not asking a lot, having only the main 4 (NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX is enough for me. I did not get any of that. My aging Amazon antenna manage to pick up more than the Philips. In short, I don't recommend this antenna unless you really want to test it out in your area.

Compact. Looks more like speakers.
Antennas are difficult to review because the result will always depend on your location, placement, what other devices you have around, any obstacles in the way, etc. there's so many factors involved. However, all antennas are definitely not created equal, or most obviously look the same. The Philips Optima Indoor HD TV Antenna, Long Range antenna is better than this fabric one. This fabric one also looks like speakers than an antenna and is more compact.Aesthetically it's one of the better looking antennas. It performed better than a flat-leaf shaped antenna that I had, but in the end, the biggest factor with antennas is location of where you're placing it. No antenna is going to perform miracles if you don't find the "sweet spot".5 feet is too short of a cable for me, especially when I have my TV wall mounted and want to hide the cable/antenna further away from the TV.Protip: If you're having trouble getting channels, the ultimate solution is to get a coupler and combine two antennas pointing at different directions (this solved my issue to finally get all the stations)
