Phone and data are more reliable now
I've got a cabin that's more than 10 miles from the nearest phone tower. I have service, but it's unreliable. Calls drop every few minutes, and using my phone as a hotspot doesn't allow me to get much work done unless I drive up to the highest hill above the cabin. Text messages sometimes won't go through. This booster adds about 15db of signal strength inside the cabin (according to an app I loaded onto my phone), and I've spent the past 2 days in the cabin without a single dropped call or interrupted webex meeting. I don't have great signal strength, but it's reliable and adequate. The under-the-window wiring works great and really simplified installation. I first mounted the antenna on the porch, then made a mount that stuck up above the roof. The extra 8' of elevation of the roof mount made only a small difference in signal strength. It seems that the biggest improvement in signal is because the antenna is much more sensitive than my phone, not because the antenna is at a better location than my phone usually is. I haven't checked the range of the indoor antenna, since the cabin is tiny, and the only place I really need a phone signal is at the table where I work. If I want a stronger signal over a wider area (like outside the cabin), I'd probably get a dedicated 4G hotspot and a powerful wifi router. Edit: One complaint: the indoor antenna ought to have a wall mount option. I don't have a good shelf to put it on, and since it's just resting on the shelf, hitting the cord can pull the antenna out of position. I'm probably going to end up doing something ugly like attaching it to the wall with velcro.

The most important useful information you will ever get on one these puppies
I have the worst cell phone reception in my area. I tried everything including buying a verizon cell phone station. If you have a no-contract phone but still on CDMA. A cell phone station will "not" work. Cell phone stations also take literally 40 minutes to boot up!!!! And is reliant on your internet, and you become your neighbors new cell tower at the expense of your bandwidth. I wasn't about to pay the 400-500 bucks for a weboost, until I realized that there is a difference between a home weboost and office weboost. The home version is half the price. But seems to indicate it has lower gain. This is apparently just "indoor" gain. and not "outdoor" gain. Just means that even though it picks up a cell signal outdoors just fine. It rebroadcasts this inside the house with a lower power. Which is fine with me. I just want it to work inside the house within a 50+ feet of me. Which it does. So just expect this to work in the house, although it does reach into the yard abit. As far as I see, I get the same boost ability from the home version as I would with the office version. I didn't want a powerful cell phone transmitter in the house with me anyway. Whats good about this, is it is both CDMA and GSM as well as works on VoltE, text messaging works. and WORKS on any no-contract phone. I went from unusable cell phone reception, to flawless cell phone reception. I did have to put the external antenna up a flag pole though. And it does come with enough cable to do so. This is the "only" true cell phone booster out there. Don't bother with those 30 dollar yagi antenna boosters you see around. I wasted some money on those also before this. They are fixed to a small set of channels and you have to know what your doing to select the right one for the right type of phone you have. Which I never got to work anyway. The weboost boosts "all" the channels so nothing to worry about. I have had it many months no, I don't even think about it anymore. Phones just work. This is the way to go. Period!

Overall a good product, just do your research
I used it on AT&T since I purchased it until March of this year (about a year and a half of use) with great results. With 2 bars (iirc ~ -92dba) at the receiver I was getting up to 5 bars 4g LTE signal depending on proximity of device to the interior antenna. I switched to Verizon and was not having the same results. After a couple weeks and some digging I now need to move my exterior antenna to the other side of the building and I should be seeing similar results to when I was with at&t. Oh, yeah. For all of the reviews complaining about the band, read the entire product description and maybe even do some research into what you're buying. It's a pretty decent investment for what amounts to 3 plastic boxes tethered together with cables that does some voodoo magic above my pay grade (sarcasm). All I'm saying is what is the biggest complaint besides warmth of device during operation is information one can figure out with little difficulty, especially if you know how to use a search engine with reasonable efficacy. And to touch on the cooling issue. I haven't had a single issue with the device being too hot. The black interior antenna rarely gets hot (I also rarely touch it so take that with a grain of salt). The amplifier gets hot, but not concerningly hot. Just be sure to install it where it can at least radiate heat unimpeded if not pick up some airflow from a fan or ac and you'll likely not have to worry. (Always check up on your always on tech though, better safe than sorry!)

Not a 4g booster
I live within 1mile from a tower, but on a mountain the 4g sucked(1bar but 3 bars in 3g) This weboost doesnt work on 4g the tech told me and honestly it didnt boost my 3g! I know i installed it correctly and i had a good signal, but from my experience its not a very good model of signal booster. As you can see in the description it doesnt say what signal it picks up(2g,3g, 4g LTE) The tech guy on the 1800 number said the 4g boosters have 4 lights on the anplifier, not 2.

Okay for the money tried refurbished
You need to download a free app to locate tower with best reception. This works well I used opensignal it points you direction off tower. Install is simple. I had 1 to 2 bar's increased to 4 to 5 bar's signal strength. Down fall. Already had to unplug device to get signal strength. Other problem for whatever reason my phone keeps charging to weaker tower when signal inside is better. Other than this product functions well. Just a bit of a pain.

Good Signal
Had 1 bar inside house (dropped calls frequent) and almost 2 bars outside (dropped calls occasional). This unit took 2 bars and converted to 3-4 bars within one room. Did check to ensure it carried my ATT broadcast band and checked signal strength around the house to determine location of receiving unit and broadcast unit. Measured distance between and as it is 90-100 feet so had to buy a RG11 100 foot cable as it only comes with 60 feet. Will be some ladder work to secure the cable but the unit itself couldn't be simpler. Just screw in cables and power it up. Increased signal in 15 seconds. Green light means all OK, red light indicates a problem. One caveat: the antennae is a plastic box with a metal backing plate. It is exposed to all elements and I am unsure of exactly how watertight it is. I will probably seal it and also seal the coaxial connection immediately under the box. If it fails it looks like it could be due to water damage (just a guess). Mount to house appears easy and solid. Am not using pole connection. Overall quite pleased.

More like 100 sq ft
Product worked great if your phone was right next to the inside antenna. Otherwise it wasn’t good at all. I figured 1500 sq modem wild work in my 800ft cabin. As long as I was within 5 ft of the antenna it would work otherwise it wouldn’t. They need to amp the inside antenna

Awesome product! Awesome results! Works better than I could’ve hoped for!
We built a little hunting cabin in a very rural part of Alabama where there’s only 1 bar of LTE and it’s very, very spotty. I called weBoost and asked if it worked in my zip code and it does, so I ordered the Basic Home and it’s just a one room shack. I hooked it up on top of the utility pole, ran the wire through the air then inside the house and BAM! 4 bars of LTE and I’m happy that when 5G is updated for this area, my hardware will be ready! Helpful Hints: CALL AND MAKE SURE the cell towers around you are on the correct band for this specific model!! Use Ookla speed test on all sides of your room or house and make sure you put it on the side that’s fastest. —Every little inch makes a big difference— The higher the better, if you are around trees, the higher you go, the better the signal. Hence why I put it on the top of our utility pole and ran the wire across instead of on the north side of the room (which would’ve gave me 2 bars LTE).
