PLANTERS Blue Original Cheez Balls Cheese Flavored Snacks, 2.75 oz Canister (Pack of 6)

There appears to be GOOD, BAD & UGLY batch of Planters Cheez Balls that Amazon has in stock. The BAD & UGLY are smaller in size, not very cheesy, not as puffy, and have holes all over the cheez balls. It has the following printed date codes on the bottom of the cannisters:P: 06 MAR 2019 02:24E: 05 MAR 2020 XPZ4I ordered a couple of 12 packs and both packs have the same date code and the contents, taste, and texture are nothing like the original Cheez Balls!!!A friend also ordered the same 12 pack here at Amazon and he received GOOD ones with the following prints:P: 12/DEC/2018 11:07E: 12/DEC/2019 GPP2The content, texture, and taste were so much fresher! This particular batch tasted just like the original Cheez Balls.Amazon having great customer service will replace both of my orders. I'm hoping to receive the fresh ones.I'll update this review when the replacements arrive.Update - the following batch of Planters Cheez Balls are also GOOD. Unfortunately, I received a bad batch once again w/ date code "XPZ4". Contacted Amazon customer service and they'll send me a replacement. Crossing my fingers that I receive the good batch "GPP2" (or if there exists other good batch date code).UPDATE 7/12/2019My replacement order just came in. Unfortunately, they're also "XPZ4". Contacting Amazon for another replacement or a refund. :(

Planters, whatever you choose to do with the company over the next 6 decades (I'm 26 so 60 more years till I won't have taste buds), DON'T stop making these. I know there are people here claiming that their nostalgia wasn't triggered so they could get the natural high they craved. I say these people are either searching to fill some void that has been left from a negative experience in their childhood or they're just prescription drug addicts.In any event, I've had these as a kid. No, they're not the same. They're BETTER! The ones I had as a kid, if I remember correctly, had a more natural cheese taste and came in a bigger tin. I remember eating them at the daycare when I was only single digits years old. Saying that these don't have a natural cheese flavor is by no means a negative. They have this insane chee"Z"ier flavor that makes it hard to stop eating them. I don't know what cost saving measure Planters is using to try to recreate what just using real cheese does, but do not stop with said cost saving measure.These are great! I love them! Sure they're not how they used to be. But neither are Chevy Suburbans and I don't see negative reviews on Amazon about those :). If you buy these, be warned. You'll never stop buying them; right Planters??

These were not so good, not like I expected I guess.. They were not very cheesy and we're a bit on the greasy side.

Not as tasty as the old fashioned, 'more natural' type that is so hard to find. But these are good.

And before the guy who comments on everyone else's review saying their taste buds have changed, no that is not what happened. I had the ones that came out in store a year or so ago and they tasted exactly like they did when I was a kid. These taste and look nothing like those. My taste buds have not changed in a year. Also, literally every other cheese snack (Cheetos, cheese poof, cheese curls, cheezits, etc) taste exactly the same to me now as they did when I was a kid. Why would only Planters Cheezballs flavor change for me and nothing else. Also, my cat used to love the originals and would steal them from me. He won't even go near these. Smart kitty. I believe the person that keeps commenting on everyone's reviews is a shill.As for this, these taste nothing like the original. The color is wrong, the smell is wrong, the shape is wrong, the texture is wrong. These basically taste the same as the giant tub of Ute balls you get at Walmart. They are just gross. The only flavor of cheese snacks I ever liked was Planters Cheezballs. When these came back to the store a few years back I was excited and got some and they tasted exactly right. So then I ordered these and they are awful and not even the same as what they did a year ago. These literally made me gag. So nasty. I threw away 11.9 cans.

The cheese balls are stale!! We were so looking forward to trying this product. They are awful & dont taste like the fresh ones we had in the US.

Singapore buyers who are used to buying Planters Cheese balls from NTUC, do note that those sold on Amazon and imported from USA, are NOT THE SAME from those we get locally. Planters Cheese balls is very popular and most of the time, it is out of stock. As such I resorted to buying from Amazon, thinking that it is the same product albeit different packaging, not giving it much thought since it is not uncommon for a product to have differing packaging for different market. To my huge disappointment, they taste very different. The ones from Amazon is NOT made OF REAL CHEESE, JUST CHEESE FLAVOURED. The taste is distinctly artificial, and it smells artificial too, you can immediately tell the difference once you peel off the seal from the can......Better off getting Cheezels or Cheetos than buying from Amazon, or if you can bear the wait and try your luck every other day, stick to buying locally.
