My Weird School #3: Mrs. Roopy Is Loopy!: A.J. and his class investigate their costume-crazy new librarian―from George Washington to Little Miss Muffet―ages 6-10

I ordered the first five books from My Weird School and My Weird School Daze by Dan Gutman after reading the entire Captain Underpants series by Dav Pilkey to my two grandsons, ages 7 and 5. I really did not know if any books could be as fun for them as Captain Underpants, but they both love the Weird School books and find them humorous and entertaining. I enjoy reading these books to them and I know that they will be able to go back and read them on their own at a later date. I highly recommend these books!

I used this book with a student. It was a fun read with plenty of laughs. It is great for engaging reluctant readers. I used work pages by McMarie from Teachers Pay Teachers to add the grammar, writing and comprehension pieces.

We will be buying the next book in the series. Not as funny as the first two but still quite entertaining!

My kids loved these books. My sons name is AJ and my daughters name is a daisy lol. Aj is just like AJ in the book so he connected with the book from the first page.My son does not like reading and since we read the first one he got into reading the others by himself and now he is reading without me forcing him to read.Loved these funny ones

Ben: I like that Mrs Roopy was trying to be different characters. It was cool.Tom: I didn’t like how she never admitted she wasn’t all the characters.But this book is my favorite (this is our fourth book to read)

I volunteer once a week to read to a child in elementary and they love this series, very fun and catchy. Great way to start making your child get into chapter books and off picture books. These do have drawings every couple of pages but is not overwhelming.

My eight year old loves this series. We are trying to entice him into reading more. This series is something that we can discuss, wondering what AJ will do next. I have my son read the title and first page of every chapter and we are working up to having him read more, as I read to him. His reading confidence and skills are definitely improving. The story lines keep his attention. It takes about an hour (for mostly me) to read out loud.

Funny, entertaining and a fun read for my 9 year old! Great book to read together. Will read more of the series.
