The Sun Is Kind of a Big Deal

I've had kids fight over this book because they love it so much! I highly recommend this for K-5 kids because will absolutely love it and how it's educational about the Sun!

We actually checked this book out from the library, my kid's preschool was learning about the solar system. And my kid loves this book so much we ended up buying it. We read it to her almost every night, and she has pretty much memorized it. She's 4 years old, and loves it. And for me, I love that she's learning about the planets, water cycle, and photosynthesis. She even goes around the house saying "I'm gassy, like Jupiter"!! Great book. Definitely recommend it for your kids. It's funny and the illustration is great.

I'm so glad Nick Seluk has started writing children's books. This book has all of the humor found in the Awkward Yeti comics, but is still very informative for young readers interested in the solar system. The dust jacket has a poster of the planets on the inside and is made of durable, glossy paper. Kids will love finding all of the hidden jokes in the book (Hint: look for Pluto) and will learn a ton in the process. Here's hoping that Seluk will continue writing children's books for many years to come (maybe an anatomy book narrated by Heart and Brain?).

We just received this book on Sunday and my daughters (10 and 8) both loved it! It is not a long book but has a ton of info and the graphics are great! My kids usually read chapter book but this was a quick and fun read for them. My 8 yo was reading it again this morning while eating breakfast and was showing her Grandma all her favorite parts. I highly recommend it... especially if your kid(s) are interested in science and the planets.

I ordered this for my son during distance learning because they were talking about the Solar System for school. Lots of info presented in a funny and cute way, my 7yo loves it!

The book is perfect, in size, colors and text. My daughter was fascinated in 2 days I read it

We pruchased this book for my 4 year old who loves space. It's great, but has too much information for his age. It takes too long to read and my son looses attention. It's a neat book, but geared to a little older audience.

My 6 & 4 year olds love this book and are learning a lot about the sun and solar system. They ask to read it almost daily, and are already reciting info from the book. As parents, we enjoy that it's informative, fun, and is entertaining for us as well (We see you Pluto!) I can't wait to add the rest of the series to our bookcase as they are released.

Ich verfolge die Comics von Nick Seluk schon seit Jahren und jetzt hat sich endlich die Gelegenheit ergeben, das Buch zu verschenken. Es ist wirklich toll, die Erklärungen sind kindgerecht und die Zeichnungen und Sprechblasen wie von Nick Seluk gewohnt witzig, auf den Punkt und immer irgendwie herzerwärmend. Ich kann es nur empfehlen!

This is a really fantastic book, as described by seller.Really factual without being boring, my 6 year old loves it.

Bought this book at a scholastic book fair and my (then) 6 year old loved it so much we put it on her device a month ago. She refers to it often and likes to learn about the environment, weather and the solar system.
