Thin bar, hollow
Fixes using brass plates and screwing the disc on the wall first, then the rail is placed over it and fixed into position using the Allen key grub screws on the bar, try to make sure they are underneath when installing.Fits a light towel easily but would think it was strong enough for a large heavy bath towel as the bar is thin and hollow, as well as a little short in width for it.

The white enamel finish should avoid future corrosion problems
Although the title description suggests this is a brass towel rail, you will not actually see any brass, or any coloured metal, visible, and instead all you will see is a baked-on white enamel paint surface. This is because although the rail is indeed made of brass, the brass surface would, in time, discolour and tarnish, ie: green up, especially in the humid atmosphere of a bathroom with wet towels draped from it… so because the underlying brass construction has been white enamelled, to a fine professional standard. there should not be any future problems about corrosion.Brass does bend, of course, but I found this towel rail to be sturdily made and stiff and strong. It should easily hold the weight two or three towels. It is 24 inches in useable length (= 610 mm), which is just about right, a goldilocks not too short and not too long. The white colour makes it blend inconspicuously into most bathroom decors.Although it comes in one piece and you do not have to assemble anything, you will have to fix it to the wall. Fixing materials, plugs and screws are included in the pack. There are two cone-shaped brackets which have an inner secret metal fixing piece held in place by an almost invisible grub screw. The grub screw unscrews by means of a small Allen key (supplied) and the fixing piece has to be drilled-plugged- screwed into the wall. Then the cone shaped brackets are fixed over the two fixing pieces and the holding grub-screw retightened. This completes the invisible attachment to the wall. It took me about 15 minutes to do on a tiled bathroom wall. It is not too difficult as long as one measures the distance between the two fixing cones accurately. Instructions are included in the pack.Overall: The twin fixing cones give this towel rail a classical or Victorian appearance. However, it does blend in quite well with more contemporary decorations. There are other matching bathroom-toilet accessories available in the series, if you want to co-ordinate your bathroom design. Looks like it is well made and should last for years.

Vintage towel rail
A vintage towel rail, perhaps after a 1930s design, though as it's finished in white it will suit most bathroom decor. This is white enamel over brass, so not only is it of obvious quality, it will never corrode or stain, and thus though a little more expensive than standard, is definitely a keeper: You would never have to replace or update this once it was mounted. The only possible issue is that it is only 24" wide, with a usable width of perhaps 21", which might well have been standard in 1935 but certainly isn't now, so you might need to consider that before buying. Very high-quality item, though.

Great towel rail
We just had our cloakroom refurbished and needed to fit a hand towel rail, this is a perfect solution. The kit comes with everything you need to install the towel rail including the screws and rawl plugs. Anyone who is handy with a drill and a spirit level can easily fit the base plates. Be careful because the base plates have a right and wrong way up. Once the base plates are attached to the wall the rail clicks on and when you tighten the screws underneath it is secure. It is perfect for hand towels in a cloakroom I'm not sure it would be great for wet bath towels but I have never tried.
