Nice Light for Most Homes
Nicely designed floor light from Philips which can be changed to the colour of your choice to match your mood or to what you are watching on TV.

this had a European two pin plug!
Didn’t have an adaptor so ended up having to fit a UK plug. Really not impressed, Amazon could have easily highlighted this and sold me an adaptor along with the product. The light works well and gives a nice glow turned to the wall or for a harder, brighter effect turn it into the room. Basically it’s a light stick on a stand but you get some lovely lighting effects.

Great decoration and also modern design. Looks like a jedi lightsaber at night.

Poorly made and unsafe
As mentioned by other reviewers, this lamp comes with the EU plug and UK adapter. Mine looked like the worst and cheapest piece from аliеxpress: it had misaligned internals and missing parts so I had to open and fix it myself before I was able to insert the EU plug into it.The lamp itself had nasty sharp burrs at the end of its aluminium tube (see photo) so I had to file them off carefully in order to make it safe.So this crappy DIY kit is certainly not up to the standards that I expected from Philips.

No UK plug so buy an adapter.
It was disappointing to find that when the lamp arrived, it had an EU plug. Perhaps I missed the reference to needing to buy an adapter when I ordered it but it meant that I had to order one and wait for it to arrive before I could try out the lamp. I did mention this to Signify (Philips Hue) and they promised to send me a converter. I'm still waiting, weeks later. I have received a weird and wonderful thing from them that looks similar to our plugs but there's nowhere to slot in the attached 2-pin plug. I've never seen anything like it and it's completely useless (no instructions either). I have sent them photos to explain what's missing but they seem to be having difficulty understanding that the UK uses a different shape of plug. Make sure you order an adapter if you do buy this lamp. The lamp itself is great and does a great job lighting a dull space in our room.
