I have a very bad sprain on my left ankle and I am hoping ...
I have a very bad sprain on my left ankle and I am hoping that this, in combination with therapy, it will heal. I am 6'3" and 300lbs, very big legs. With that said, I was able to place the boot on and pump it up without issues (Yes, bigger people think about that stuff). The boot is very comfortable, does not dig in or have different pressure spots.I think I was shipped an older model, due to the air valves sticking out of the top of the boot. I am surprised that this is not noted in the description anywhere. None the less, the product gets 5 stars and im praying for a fast recovery...

Not as pictured.
The Aircast I received is not the same as the one pictured. The air cell valves are not located on the side. They are loose tubes that stick out of the top and back of the boot. The holes in the boot / design is different. Still functions fine.

Do Not Recommend!
I only made it through half of the first day and velcro glue came apart and bottom pad started sliding out. This left my heal dipping back into the hard plastic boot. Unevenness was very painful. Tried it for the second day and it got worse. Also, plastic piece that goes over the top was moulded very poorly. Would not secure properly. Velcro could barely make contact. Strap didn't help. Kept popping loose.

If you are bigger and heavier these do not hold up well at all. 220lb guy wore for 2 weeks and the air pockets popped. The bottom cushion also wore down very fast. Smaller female (160lbs) wore one of these for 2 months from doctor and it wore a lot better. These aren't supposed to last forever but if you are heavier they don't seem as solid!

Money-Saver After I Broke My Ankle
Worked great, and saved me come serious money - my doctor told me to buy this here, rather than the exact same model for over $600 from the hospital.

Mine broke the 2nd time I put it on
Seems like a good product, but it broke after the second time I used it. It relies on little air-filled pillows that you can deflate, then refill with the supplied pump. Mine sprang a leak the second time I used it.

it works
bought this for my husband who has a fracture in his foot. This boot gives him the freedom to move around where the boot to the knee was hard to walk in.
