Very bright light. Great sensor.
Very bright light. Great sensor. I use it to light my backyard and scare off critters. I especially enjoy the on off on feature that lets you keep it on whenever you want.

2 issues but a GREAT fixture!
I love this light, very bright energy efficient, motion sensor works well and has a great reach. A couple things you need to know before you order this light. The bulbs that are built in are LED and last for a very very long time (some people will tell you 100,000 hours or something like that, that is more than 11 years if left on 24/7) but the down side to this is that the bulbs are NOT replaceable. That means if a bulb goes out you have to order the whole LED head or replace the whole fixture. For me that is not a problem because by the time the bulb goes out I'll be dead. Second a lot of people are talking about the fixture not being waterproof, I believe that they are having this issue due to the install not using the large rubber/foam gasket that comes with it. Don't skimp on the install, follow the directions and you shouldn't have a problem. I highly recommend this, especially for hard to reach areas where swapping a bulb out would be difficult. For the price of 3 LED lightbulbs you can not have to worry about touching a bulb for a decade. More than worth the trade off for me. I am ordering 2 more to replace the other fixtures out side my house.

Excellent buy!
I've been trying to change over to LED bulbs for some time now and decided to replace our halogen system, in the back yard, with LED's as well. Since we have a decently sized yard I wanted something that would be bright enough to illuminate most, if not all, of it.I bought this unit due to the reviews (thank you) and was not disappointed! These LED's are quite bright; brighter than the old halogen bulbs we had before and gives me exactly what I wanted; the whole back yard is quite nicely lit up. Of course the light tapers off towards the far ends of the yard but still gives more than enough light for me to see what is going on.After I first put this in, I kept triggering the sensor so I could see the light! It was that impressive to me. I am very happy with the purchase. The only thing I wish it had is an, "always on" feature, but it's not advertised for this so I am not complaining.I will most likely be buying a couple more of these in the future to replace other lights around the house. Conclusion: Long life, very bright, easy to install, not expensive; great buy!

Like daylight
Recently we have been using the outdoor lighting a lot. I had 6 - 300w halogen fixtures and like the movie "Christmas Vacation" my meter was spinning off the wheel. That coupled with the cost of replacing the bulbs (which I never really had a problem with) I figured something needed to be done so I have slowly started to replace them with LED lights. I purchased this one to see if it would work and determine if the light would be sufficient and compare to the halogen ones.First off installation is a snap. I have seen a couple of reviews claiming they do not fit on a standard box but they fit perfectly on both square and round boxes. In fact the unit comes with an adapter that mounts to the existing holes in the box and provides a mounting surface (holes) for the fixture. If you are mounting on wood you can simply run long screws into the holes and into the wood and it mounts fine as well. I have them mounted on the overhangs so they are horizontal. I have used the adaptor and screwed them into the wood. If you are using screws I would pre-drill the holes because getting a drill on a screw is tough--the light itself is in the way. If you are using the adaptor the bolts mount DOWN--screw them all the way to the metal, tight. Then put the fixture on, so the bolt ends poke through and use the nuts on the exposed bolts to tighten the light up.The lighting itself is FAR different from halogen. It is a bright white. It almost looks like daylight. It is about the same as the halogen as far as coverage but is seems like more because it is such a bright light. It takes a little getting used to, especially if you still have halogen or another bulb near these, but I really like it. I can now see everything on my grill. The unit itself seems a little bit "plastic", but what isn't today. The lights adjust angle easily and the motions sensor seems to work as it should. However, I usually override it by turning on/off/on within 2 seconds so the lights stay on. At about 240 watts for all 6 of the LED (as opposed to 1800 for the old halogen) why not. At about $50.00 I sure hope the last at least 5-6 years.

These lights are energy efficient and long lasting for this price range. I do have one beef with these lights
The LED lights on these are very bright and effective. Add to the fact that these lights are energy efficient and long lasting for this price range is great. I have one beef with these lights and it is significant. The motion sensor on these lights are NOT very sensitive. You have to be very close to these lights to trigger them! Half the reason why I bought these lights is for a security deterrent. I have moved the motion sensors around to try and make them work better with only marginal improvement. I am kind of stuck now on what to do. These lights will not match well with other style lights due to the shade of light they give off. They have a very bright/blueish tint. These lights would work better as a Dusk to Dawn light IF you can set them up this way...
