For muzzle breaks, this is the real deal.
Works like a charm. It deserves the attention it gets. Much better than the high temp (red) loctite. I understand now why armorers recommend this product.

excellent for gas block screws, but must be properly cured with heat to get the best results
After having set screws come loose from gas blocks, even with high temp red loctite applied, I decided to give hot lock a try since it was sold by amazon and not a 3rd party like rocksett was. After applying hot lock to the gas block set screws, they have not budged, even after extended use. The key to getting the product to cure properly is to use a heat gun. After applying the hot lock and tightening the screws, heat the screws with a heat gun. The hot lock will turn from clear to white and begin to bubble up out of the sides of the screw. Once the bubbling stops you're set to go. I used a wagner heat gun on the low setting, and it took less than 10 minutes to cure. The holding strength seems to be stronger than blue loctite. Trying to remove the set screws was starting to bend the allen wrench I was using, so I ended up putting the barrel into a pot of boiling water on the stove, with the water covering the screws to be removed. After about 5 minutes in the hot water the screws came loose easily. This is an excellent product for high temp applications, and I am 99% sure that the people who have had problems with its holding strength did not properly cure the product with heat.

Works as it should
I used this on an adjustable gas block that clamps on for good measure. Also decided to put my muzzle device on with it and ultimately the rear HUB qd mount on another suppressor that was sometimes coming loose. So far it has worked, I cleaned and cured the locker and you can see it seep into the threads and expand as you’re heating it. The white residue cleans off with a nylon brush. Not sure why people are having muzzle devices come off so easy I torqued all mine on correctly and never had one come off this was just for good measure. On a 5.56, with about 6000 rounds no issues before or after applying it to a Dead Air keymo mount. Also used on a 300 blk and 7Mag for the mounts and a dead air primal hub, the sandman is a fixed mount.I cleaned with a nylon brush, then iso-alcohol let it dry then 1-2 tiny drops on the male threads, screw, torque to desired value, then heat. I heated with a heat gun and it got plenty hot. Air cool then wipe down with oil and let it set. The heat will burn off the oil on the metal.

So far so good
Haven't tried removing but it definitely hasn't come off on its own yet. Longer shelf life than Rocksett. This is my preferred thread locker for muzzle devices

Great thread locker for firearms
This thread locker activated easily and did not require a ridiculous amount of heat to set. This product really helped keep a muzzle device that kept loosening itself stay on for good.

NO ADHENSION WHATSOEVER!
Contrary to the high rating reviews for this product, my experience was that it doesn't work. Period. I added an adapter to my rifle for a suppressor. Followed prep instructions to the letter. I followed the installation and heat instructions to the letter. The rifle sat for a week before I applied the suppressor --plenty of time to cure. At the range, I hand-tightened the suppressor to the adapter --snug, not tight. Then, I backed off to ensure fit. The adapter came right off with the suppressor when I reversed it. I examined the threads on the rifle where I had applied the adhesive and adapter. The residue from the product was peeling off cleanly, without any remaining on the threads. NO ADHESION WHATSOEVER. I will go back to my old faithful Loctite red. Very disappointed in this product.
