Snugg iPod Classic Case Leather Flip Case [Card Slots] Executive Apple iPod Classic Wallet Case Cover and Stand Red - Legacy Series

My iPod classic is one of my prized possessions, especially now that Apple has discontinued them. I love the style and have never wanted nor planned on buying the iPod touch models— I am loyal to the classic. I bought my second classic in 2011 and used silicone sleeves on it for years, but these would always stretch out did little to protect the actual body of the iPod. I had the headphone jack replaced on the device after it gave out about a year ago, and the shop that did it put a couple of new dents in the body when taking the faceplate off (I of course could handle this as it meant my headphone jack was fixed, but I hated seeing the thing get further beat up). After realizing how much I really did depend on my iPod on a day-to-day basis, I finally decided it was time I really buy something that would protect the darn thing. I'd had a screen protector on it so the screen is in great shape but, as I said, the body is a little beat up, so I wanted something that would offer protection of both. The best feature of this case is the cover flap that keeps the face of the device protected when it's in your pocket, or being slung around at the bottom of your backpack/purse/etc. The cover has a magnet sewn inside that keeps it tightly closed, and the felt interior has a couple of inlays for your ID, a credit card, and maybe one or twill bills— more than that and I'd assume it would interfere with closing the case, though I haven't tested it. The material itself is made out of bicast leather, and it feels well-made and is nicely sewn. When closed, the case has a look similar to a wallet. The iPod itself fits perfectly and is held securely inside by straps along all three outer edges, and a velcro flap holds the device from sliding out of the inside edge when you open it. Really a fantastic case, aesthetically appealing and extremely functional and protective. Only wish I'd had one when I first bought the iPod!

Bought this for my newly acquired iPod Classic 7th generation 160GB. (Not trying to brag about my iPod, but there are some small size differences between models, so the model type might make a difference in the fit.) It fits my iPod very well indeed in all dimensions. Easy to get my iPod in and out of this case, but not so loose that the iPod slide around at all. As mentioned in the product description, the velcro strap on the left side of the iPod compartment really does a good job of securing the iPod in the right place. One problem with some iPod cases is that the hole for the plugging in your earbuds or headphones is too small -- not a problem here. In fact, access to the headphone port, the charging port and the sliding lock are all good. Stitching is nicely done. On my black case, the inside stitching is black while the outside stitching is white, and both look good -- nice and straight and even. The inner lining of the case of very soft, and I expect it will protect the front and back of the case very well from scratches, etc. One part of the description says the case material is leather, while one of the pictures indicates the material is PU (polyurethane) synthetic leather. Can't say for certain, but I think the PU leather description is correct. I can possibly smell is very slight chemical odor if I hold the case right up to my nose (after 1 week of use), but nothing I would characterize as strong, and frankly, unless you have a physical reaction to this very slight smell at a very close distance, it should not be a problem. The weight of the case is negligible. The magnets that hold the case closed work well -- strong enough to hold the case close in your pocket, easy enough to open the case when you want to.

I used to have a Zune (yes...I freely admit I was a Zune geek) and the folks at Zune sold a leather case that was perfect. I left that Zune on a plane and it was never seen again. So I had no choice but to replace it with an iPod. I bought a case with the iPod that was good for awhile, but the protective plastic window soon was so scratched that I couldn't see through it. I thought, if only they made a great case that was just like the one I had with my Zune. So I searched Amazon, and to my surprise, someone does! For about 1/3 of the cost of my original Zune case, I found this case by Snugg that is again...perfect. If you are a runner or workout with your iPod, this is not the case for you. But if you want a stylish, functional, sturdy case to protect your iPod, this could be your case. The case is made of a nice leather and opens like a book. It has pockets on the inside for credit cards, etc., but I only put my business card in there in case I misplace the iPod. The cover has a magnet to keep the case closed and is a nice touch. I suspect if you put too many cards in the cover, the magnet may not work as well. The stitching is great and the whole case just screams quality. I have only had this case about few days, so I can't comment on the durability, but the case comes with a lifetime warranty, so I assume this case is built to last. If you have an iPod Classic and want to keep it nice, or protect from any more damage, or, I guess, hide existing wear and tear, these covers are perfect. I have them on all mine. They are perfect fit. They are well made, thick and sturdy. They look great.

Found a lonely/working 80GB iPod Video (5.5th Gen thick) for cheap ($5) at a local GoodWill. Needed a case to protect this treasure. First try was ok, but too tight with a so-so clip; it was made for the thin model. This Snugg is an absolute charm. iPod is nice and safe as if zipped into little cacoon. The case is as attractive as a fine wallett (ok, maybe not as fine as the wallet my sister brought me from Italy, but real nice.) The card/cash pockets are handy, but two cards (DL & VA ID) did seem to interfere with the magnet a bit; had to slide it into place versus flipping it closed. I wondered about the magnet vs mag-strip on the cards, but it does not seem to be an over powered magnet. If not for the magnet issue, this would've been a strong five star review

I really like this case! I purchased it for my iPod Classic 7th generation 160GB. I had recently purchased one of those plastic cases for the outside of the device, but wanted something a little bit more to add for normal outside protection. This was it! I like how the front of this cover has a cover flip, as I do not really need to worry about either the screen protector, or the screen itself, getting damaged. When I am not using my device in the car, I have it on my person. According to the pictures, people seem to put credit cards into the little slots on the left side, but I have decided to use them for music related business cards. I also have some slips of paper, in case I want to write down the name of a new band I find, and slip it in to look into later. This cover seems pretty sturdy, and I believe it will hold up overtime. The only reason I gave it four out of five is because nothing is truly perfect haha. But this is definitely a great product, and I would recommend it!
