Best Grill Ever⦠Period.
I am replacing my original Bubba Keg purchased in 2009 for the bargain price of $400. After 15 years of faithful service and hundreds of ribs, briskets, pork shoulders, hamburgers, pizzas, fish, and anything else you can grill it was time to retire. I kept my Bubba covered and cleaned it when needed. If not for little rust on the back corner it would still be going. I just fired up the new Broil-king Keg. Basically the same grill with a few key improvements to the top and bottom vents. The new vents are a fantastic addition to an already stellar grill. I can cook pizza at 800 degrees or smoke briskets at 225 for 20 hours and still have charcoal left. I was planning on āupgradingā to a Big Green Egg and found that for the price and the quality of the Keg, it couldnāt be beaten. It will not crack and it is easier to move around. BGE prices are ridiculous. 15 years is unheard of for a grill. I am sure this one will last at least that long. If you cook on charcoal, buy this grill. Chicken breasts come out tender and juicy, pizza on a stone is just like a brick oven and the BBQ you can make is out of this world (make sure to buy a diffuser!) You will not regret it.

Looooove this thing!
I was going to write a review about how this keg can't ruin any food but reviewer Paul Zedack already covered that part. š. My wife thinks this thing is magic because everything has come out moist and flavoritius. Burgers, chicken, shrimp, pastrami, bacon, DUCK!!! Holy moley roast duck at Christmas was spectacular. In winter. Outside. Could not have done that in the webber. We've simply started using it as our second oven. I even floated the idea of getting a second one ( you need two - one for hot and one for not so hot, really!!!š š š) and got no pushback!!!There are some tweaks that could be done to make it better - the grill grate really should have a removable section for weird adds. Not sure why they went away from that. But most of the time is not an issue if you plan your cook right.Air leakage is a minor issue, gaskets could seal a bit better but again I've had no problems maintaining 225 for hours.I had no shipping damage when I got mine, but yah it's a heavy beast and if the shippers drop it it's probably going to get bent. However that's also the beauty of the steel keg - drop this one and it gets dented. drop a ceramic keg and it's broken.Anyhow - 5 stars after almost 1 year of use. š

Best grill I've ever owned.
Not only is this grill impressive looking, the functionality is off the chart. I love the cast Iron grate. So far, I've only used it for steaks and ribs. It handled that task perfectly. There is more to come, I will keep you posted.

Great kamado smoker but shipping was subpar.
Smoker must have been dropped in shipping since box was very damaged and lid does not seal without using the lock. This is an old review. I would not order from this vendor.

Broil King Keg, enough said
Best Kamado style grill on the market. Gets to temp fast and holds temp easy. Big grilling surface. It has been better than advertised. Well built and looks to last forever. Easy upkeep. Stand and wheels make it easy to move around. Highly efficient. I have smoked for 14 hours and did not have to add fuel. ALL OF THAT AT HALF THE PRICE!. I LOVE MY KEG!

Knocking my rating down. Grill does NOT come with removable section on grate anymore.
First, the packaging. This smoker is over 100 lbs. but only has styrofoam on the top and bottom. You can guess the outcome. Big dent on the front right in the middle where thereās no packing material.Second, the grill itself feels pretty substantial but the plastic handles really cheapen it, especially the handle on the back that you have to really pull to get it up on the 2 back wheels. Mine is already loose and one of the bolts was stripped and wouldnāt tighten up.But whatās important is how this thing smokes and thatās where it excels. Only took one fill (my old Weber used 3 times more) of lump charcoal in my Weber chimney and it lasted for a 6 hour smoke at 240-250 degrees.Ribs and pork roast turned out amazing and threw some hot sausage right in the coals at the end for about 5-6 minutes to char them good. Easy to regulate the temp. All in all, a very decent smoker, just wish they would upgrade some of the hardware and pack it a little better.Edit: Knocked my rating down from 4 to 3 stars because cast iron grate does NOT come with removable section anymore. Customer service was not helpful at all saying that grate is now made as a one piece unit. I directed her to the video on their own web site showing the removable section but all she said was āwell, I guess we need to change itā. Thanks a lot, that would have been a really useful feature when I tried to add applewood to the coals the other day. Had to take all the food off the top grate and then remove the stainless grate and the cast iron one just to add a few pieces of applewood. Sure would have been nice to just swing the food out of the way, remove the little section with the included tool and add wood or charcoal.

Nearly perfect
I really like this grill. The outside does not get hot enough to burn you. It is very fuel-efficient. Its temperature is adjustable by varying the amount of air allowed in at the bottom and the amount of exhaust at the top. I did a pork roast for shredded pork, and kept it on for over 4 hours. It was wonderful. It went together fairly smoothly except for the little side tables. One side locked into place, the other didn't. I tried nearly everything except a hammer. I'll fiddle with it some more, but, I haven't figured it out, yet.
