Totally enjoy the creative and mystery aspects of this series. And who doesn’t want Carmela’s life and a best gal pal like Ava.

Fabulas
it is a murder mystery but as a cozy nothing graphic. Love everything from Laura Childs. I read three series by her. This is in New Orleans sos the background is great. Her love interest is fun. You should really enjoy this one.

Love this series
I am rereading some of the more recent books from this series. The New Orleans setting is perfect - a lot of fun and so is the scrap booking shop.

Just off
I've read the entire series, and this book was just off. The last couple books were starting to derail for me a bit, but this one was really off. I understand Laura Childs has brought in another author to help out, and that is probably why everything seems off. Carmela isn't right, Ava was just way out there, the whole thing was just - off. I love the NOLA setting, love the scrapbooking and the recipes. Please give Carmela back her brains, and get Ava's manhunting under control - she's getting downright slutty.

A Taste of New Orleans
This book is a fun read, with a generous sprinkling of New Orleans lifestyle and ambiance. Carmela and Ava are charming and full of energy, as usual. Their search for the killer is moderately suspenseful, too. This is another enjoyable book in the series.

OK, but nowhere near as good as her tea shop mysteries

Interesting read.
Liked it less than other books in the series. It was a bit slow but also quite interesting.
