Wish I could give zero stars. This container is a STRAIGHT UP HAZARD!!! I bought them for soup lunches and noticed identical hairline cracks in both pieces of glass in the same spot so it wasn’t damaged from shipping. I put water from the kettle in them to see how bad the cracks were and the jar instantaneously broke into 3 pieces NOT EVEN WHERE THE CRACKS WERE!! It broke at the seam of the jar. There was a loud crack before the boiling water went flying out with with glass all over my kitchen. I’ve had glass jars for soup and never had this problem. Glass should not shatter with hot water, especially if it says it’s dishwasher safe.Edit for clarity: the glass had been washed in hot water, and then filled to heat the glass. There was not water leakage at this point so I tested it with the kettle. Once it had boiled, I waited for it to stop and then an additional minute before pouring it in.

Wanted snap-top glass containers to store 2# of kimchi without much unneeded air/space inside. These are perfect. Didn't think this size of container was made, but voila! The lids snap down securely and firmly. Nice size rubber ring around the lid that comes off and goes back on easily after washing. Will have to look around my kitchen for other uses for this size container. I'm happy as all get out.

Worked great for about a week. Then washing it (which is hard because the top doesn't come all the way off) the bottom of the jar just broke out! I was using a sponge.

I’m happy with the jars. I bought 6 at one time and 2 were smashed when they arrived. Packaged horribly! Box was too big and jars were only wrapped with one layer of bubble wrap. A total mess. Order one at a time and pray!

This was sent wrapped in bubble wrap...poorly! Then stuffed into an envelope. I’m shocked it was in one piece. It also had a gross film of some kind in it. I hope it comes off in the dishwasher. Gross! The metal handle could be longer to grab easier too. I wouldn’t buy again.

Used this for making vanilla extract and should shake the jar daily for a month. The gasket does not hold liquid in the jar when shaken or turned over there for seems it is not an air tight seal for evaporation of the alcohol used to make vanilla. The jar is nice, the gasket is cheap.

Brought several of these larger jars for the different flours I use in making machine bread. Have found them to be leak proof and seem to keep the flours fresh. Very satisfied with them and have bought smaller jars by this company for my jam and pickling projects. Also n just as important, when one of the jars arrived broken, the company was quick to replace them.

I thought I was ordering a brand new glass jar. This looks used. I already got the few pieces of debris out of it so I can't post a pic. Not cool for $10, if I knew that I would have spent the extra $ and got the one I actually wanted. Just a bummer after the holidays

Why is it so hard to find a tall, narrow food storage jar for tall pasta??? I really thought I had carefully measured this one, but did not allow enough, apparently for the thickness of the glass.It was a lovely container, just unsuitable for my use.

Good jars with locking seal, however the seals themselves are an orange colour. Not sure if they are supposed to be that colour but they do seal OK
