Well over a decade of service
For anyone looking for longevity info, this pump lasted for just under 12 years in a 50 year old sailboat kept in a wet slip. It did blow the inline fuse before totally seizing up, which should have prompted me to replace it immedately. Overall, I think this is a great pump, and I'd suggest replacing it every 10 years, like you shoukd for a smoke detector.

Excellent Bilgie pump.
Very good and reliable bilgie pump, I was so happi to installed in a fiberglass boat that I had, we went fishing to the lake Erie an suddenly it became very agitated and a big waves 4 to 5 fts. Drop a lots of litres of water inside the boat in a seconds, it was a very scarry experience, but this little machine did an excellent job pushing out all the water in seconds, and I can say probably saved our life. IF YOU LOVE YOUR SELF PLEASE DONT BUY CRAP. This bilgie paid itself the prize.

It's worth the money.
It works, it fits and seems decent quality.

Can't beat it for the price on a smaller boat.
Installed in the rear of my ever-leaking jon boat. I've had this boat welded enough times to buy a new boat, yet it continues to leak. I decided to install this bilge pump until I can coat the boat in either gluv-it or bed liner. I used waterproof silicon on the bottom of the filter and let it sit overnight to dry. I then place the pump onto the filter. It's held through several fishing trips so far. I leave the pump on the auto setting (using a 3-way switch) while motoring around or leaving the boat in place. I turn it on manual if I feel the need to remove water before it reaches the point that triggers the auto-on. It removes water at a sufficient rate through 3/4" tubing and you can feel decent water pressure if you place your hand in the stream. I've been very happy with it and would purchase another as it's well worth the money.

Effective, powerful pump- Great Value
We have 2 Seadoos (Wake 155 and GTI 130) and wanted to have the 'insurance ' of a bilge pump in case the unthinkable happened while out on the water. I had seen many pre-packaged PWC specific bilge kits that ranged from $100-$180, and none had a true automatic function. Most were either pure manual or turned on automatically at preset intervals whether there was water in the bilge or not. I installed the first one I ordered on our GTI and it worked brilliantly. Installation was straight forward, although I ordered with the Shoreline Marine Bilge 3 way switch based on Amazon's prepackaged recommendation. I wouldn't recommend this combination as the amp rating on the breaker is too high for the pump. I read through every single review on this pump because I wasn't familiar with the brand, and haven't experienced any sensitivity of the switch cycling on/off based on back pressure from water in hose. My setup has about 3-4 ft of 3/4" hose. The pump is less then 2 ft below the outlet point. Our outlet is almost straight up - it has a slight angle towards the rear of the ski (there are limited areas to mount). The pump is powerful and shoots water out in a 2 foot stream until the water level in the bilge goes down. I had an initial concern that the pump didn't shut off when water was evacuated, but the pump continues for 30-60 seconds and then shuts off. I was looking initially at external float switches, but this pump saves space. I really like the integrated float that resides within the pump housing so as to be protected from loose debris that may end up in the bilge area and cause an external float switch to be stuck open. The float dial on the pump also allow you turn the pump on for testing purposes/ if you are working in the bilge. For our application (3 person pwc) the GPH may be overkill but the package works well. So much so, that ordered the same exact pump for our second ski- but this time with the Rule 43 combo switch (which allows you to select the proper fuse amp). Great value, effective pump. Will update as time moves on.

Best product for the price!!!
This is a great little product. I have a basement apartment which needs a dehumidifier. The problem is, no one can ever remember to empty the water and the dehumidifier shuts off. I solved this problem by placing this pump in the water reservoir of the dehumidifier and used a coleman thermoelectric 120v step down to 12v cooler adapter and ran a drain hose through the wall where the DSL cable comes into the bsement. Works like a charm... problem solved. If you need this for what it was designed for (bilge pump for boat) I have no doubt it will work perfectly for your need. This pump has an automatic float switch that kicks on when the water level rises and shuts off when the water is gone, and it also has a second line so you can install an on/off toggle switch to manually run the pump.

Not Reliable! And that's a BAD thing for a bilge pump.
Since I have installed the Seaflo Automatic Submersible Boat Bilge Water Pump in February, it has failed each and every time. Either it cavitates and does not pump (runs forever and does nothing), or the float switch gets jammed (in either open or closed position). There is no debris in or around the pump. I have had other bilge pumps installed in the exact same manner and never had this problem. I am quite disappointed in this product. I'm going back to the Attwood. Had it for years and never let me down. Shouldn't have tried to save a few bucks.. wound up costing me a lot more

Exactly what I wanted
I bought this to replace a similar Rule 500 gph pump which burned out, The reason was that the Rule failed to turn off when the water had gone, and overheated to the extent that the casing was defomed by heat before it burned out. The Rule has an electronic sensor which is supposed to detect water level but it doesn't work if the water is oily or slimy (like bilge water) because the oily mix clings to the unit so it thinks water is still present even when the level has dropped. This Seaflo unit not only has a normal float switch but it is encosed within the housing and so cannot get stuck in the up position by debris. Installed easily and working fine, I'll add to this review if any problems come to light

Good machine
**Update**: I ordered a second unit to replace the original pump. It works ok but the condition I received it was not so good. Since it worked I could not be bothered to return it. It looked like it was used (scratches on the bottom and nicks on the body inside) This unit had a white top (added images) whereas my first one had an orange top. **End of update.** I used 3M 4200 as an adhesive as it appears strong enough but at the same time should be able to scrape the pump off when the time comes. PROS: It works (see video) Easy enough to install unless you have an inboard/outboard which means you will need to do some contortions to place it under the engine and be a bit inventive in fixing it to the hull ( I chose bonding it to the hull rather than screwing it in.) Instructions are fairly good for a Chinese product. Easy to remove from base. CONS: No fuse component included. Buy a 6 amp fuse and holder in advance of installation if you are going to wire it directly to the battery bypassing the boat circuits. No foam protection to prevent float from moving float during shipment. No telling how much wear and tear it suffered in shipment (possible premature aging/wear and tear of the moving component, the float.)

Bonne pompe

Lasted a full three years under some pretty abusive conditions
Worked flawlessly for three years before failing. Given the location in my boat and the abuse, it took from the 12-gallon fuel tank constantly sliding around and bashing into it, and my neglect to clean the leaves and debris out of the shallow well it sat in - I'd say I got my money's worth and couldn't have asked much more from this product for the $28.88 CAD I paid for it at the time. However, I now see it is selling for $49.99 on Amazon.ca - which is much less of a deal.

Tres bien
Moins chere que celles achetées dans le commerce, pour la même qualité! Installée dans une cale de bateau, elle fonctionne tres bien. Je recommande

Seaflo Automatic Submersible Boat Bilge Water Pump
Purchased a pump from another supplier and had to return it since the impeller would cavitate with air everytime the unit started up. The Seaflo pump worked perfect first time out of the box. As the water level raised slowly the units automatic switch worked well and shuts off when done. Good product at a good price. R.
