Arlington LV2-5 Low Voltage Mounting Bracket, 2-Gang, 5-Pack

When I decided to mount my TV on the wall, I did not want all the wires hanging down. I did some research and found these mounting brackets and a DataComm 45-0002-WH 2-Gang Recessed Low Voltage Cable Plate. The combination of these was the perfect combination. They produced a clean and professional look.Anyone attempting to run wiring through a wall this is a nice mounting bracket. It especially works well when you don't have a stud or don't want to go through the hassle of attaching a mounting box to a stud. All you need is a utility knife and a screw driver and you and mounting bracket installed.Pros:- Sure easy to install.- Adequately secures to 1/4-Inch to 1-Inch thick wall board, paneling or drywall- Plate wholes lined up cleanly and I did not have to force the screwsCons:- Be careful not to over-tighten the screws. The threads are made of plastic and you can over-tighten them and destroy the thread and causing the bracket not securely attach to the wall.- The bracket is mostly made of plastic and can feel a little cheap, But it does the job.Over all I am quite pleased with these brackets. I have had them installed for over a year and have not had any issues. I get a lot of complements on my mounted TV and how clean it looks. These brackets are the unsung hero of this project.

We used these for cable pull boxes.

My home theater/stereo business has a lot of unusual components that a standard gang box simply does not work for. These open frames are ideal for the frequent large hidden parts of volume controls, infrared receivers, cable boxes, speaker wire junctions, etc. that I need to have secured. Previously I used to have to fashion my own from traditional gang boxes by sawing off the entire portion behind the front 1/2"- obviously less than ideal, slow and costly. Great product, could use a couple of improvements like stronger anchor screws and tabs, hence the 4 stars. Still, a very good product for things that will not fit inside the cramped confines of a gang box.

The ones in my local store just have metal flaps you fold and I can never get those to stay tight against the wall. This stayed nice and flush.If the threads for cover plate where metal I would have given it 5 stars. Being plastic you have to be careful when tightening or will strip out.Wish they would include a template to make cutting hole in wall a little bit easier. Overall I am happy, would buy again.

These brackets really are great. As some other reviewers have mentioned these are almost a little TOO flexible for my liking. The single gang brackets don't seem to have this issue so much but there have been a couple of places where I've installed this double gang bracket and was very disappointed with the way it flexes when I've tightened it down properly. With all of that said I would like to find a stiffer bracket to use for future installs but these are great for the money and work flawlessly in most areas.

I bought these as part of my home theater upgrade and though they work perfectly fine and I was happy with the end-result, a template would be nice. The only reason I am giving it four stars instead of five is because if they would have included a simple paper template or at least ANY INFORMATION for that matter, it would have saved me a step. Yes, it was easy to measure myself but it's just the extra step that would have gone a long way. Either way, they are sturdy and do the job. I'm happy with my purchase.

Do not use for electric! Excellent to mount low voltage wallplates onto the wall. We are pros and use these for fill in when we run low or can`t await a supplier as the ones in the big boxes (HD/Lo) aren`t our favorite.....A little pricey here, for a consumer a good buy for us a volume user,a little more than our local elec supply but still less than others,and the prime ship is the deal maker for us

these brackets work great with double gang face plates when you need to install them in an existing wall and not a new construction. they didnt come with a pattern stensil however so my suggestion would be to start with a small hole and keep making it bigger until the bracket fits in the wall
