Vestil FWD-1824-3R Fiberwood Dolly with 3" Rubber Casters, 800 lbs Capacity, 23-3/4" Length x 17-7/8" Width x 4-11/16" Height Deck

I'm moving here in a week or so. So I thought I'd make the move easier by getting two of these dollies to help move stuff. The product's description is kind of a little off. I wouldn't call it fiberwood. When I think of fiberwood, the first thing that comes to mind is particle board that is used for cheap bookcases and other "put it together yourself" furniture. These are not made of particle board. Some of the ratings described them as hardwood. I wouldn't describe them as that either. They are made out of about 3/4" plywood that has kind of that red finish to the outside layer of it. So they're actually made out of some pretty good wood that I think will hold up quite well.Regarding the rollers, mine swiveled well on both of the dollies. Sometimes with bearings you will get a bad set that doesn't want to turn well. All of the wheels on mine rotated just fine even with my full weight (175 pounds) on them. And the wheels turned just fine too.As one reviewer mentioned, I got a strong whiff of glue or rubber when I opened each of the dollies. I think that is due to the ribbed rubber top or the glue they use or a combo of both. Once you take them out of the bag and box you don't really notice it on the carts.Overall, I think these are a great buy. They're going to work well for moving. They're wide enough and long enough between one or two of them to fit under the feet of most everything and roll them out on. One thing I love is that their just high enough that some of my items that are on short legs will have the legs only about an inch off the ground if I rest the frame of the furniture on the dolly pads. I also like that the dolly surface covers the whole dolly (except for the hand holes) unlike some furniture dollies. This should make balancing stuff on top, easier.And the hand holes make it easy to pick up and carry. The dollies also have a rubber bumper around the edge almost like the kind you see around the brown wooden folding tables at fish fries.The dollies are packaged well, but from ordering two, I can tell that they re-use whatever boxes and packaging materials they have on hand. I don't mind that one bit as long as they were protected well like they were. As they say, "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Recover."The dollies measure slightly under 24" long x 18" wide. And are exactly 4 3/8" tall. The wheels are a hard rubber. Some reviewers mentioned that the wheels should be softer than they are. If they were softer, I think you'd see the wheels splitting when heavy weight was put on them. The wheels were properly designed hard for the heavy 800 pound rating this dolly has.My opinion is these are great dollies for the price. If the bearings don't rotate like they should, send them back. But I had no problems with mine.

These dollies are real workhorses. We have purchased many for the office to use as printer carts. They are also great for moving heavy furniture and equipment. They roll easy and are sturdy. Very happy with our purchases.

I'm making a cross-country move with very little help and I've had to come up with some really clever ways to get all the packing done. When I read a review of another dolly that insisted this one was so much better than the one I'd been considering, I clicked over, saw all the rave reviews and ordered immediately. And I'm SO glad I did! Now, I can stack those boxes on this little work horse and take 'em wherever they need to go so much easier that I don't really need anyone else to help. One tip: I used an old belt to pull it instead of using the boxes on top to push it around. Made things even easier.

I bought one of these to hold a matched set of conga-sized drums (tubanos, technically: straight sides; short, built-in support feet). A great idea and application; it improves the tone of the drums (sort of like the sound board in a piano), the few inches it adds to the height make playing more comfortable, and s-o-o-o convenient just pushing both drums on wheels, rather than lifting and moving one at a time. The board is straight and true, wheels spin and swivel smoothly, and I'm not smelling even a hint of the strong chemical odor some users wrote about. That may have been just a bad batch of adhesive, or the suppliers addressed the issue, maybe a little of both. I'm super-sensitive to fugitive vapors (eye allergies), and not just storing it in a corner; I'm arm's length from it for long periods of time. Quality, price, convenience (hand slots); it's hard to see how you could do better.

I put this under my mannequin - to shoot photos for my store. It is so much easier, faster, smoother to maneuver the mannequin for photos. It has saved me immeasurable time, back stress, frustration. Wheels move nice and smooth. Full turning, 360 degrees. I just tap it with my foot to move it around, rotate the item. The rubber-top coating is secure, nice, no-slip, ridges. I thought I'd have to clamp my mannequin to the flat surface, but she doesn't budge an inch. It's everything I needed it to be, and it has improved everything about my photo process.

I was assembling a bartop arcade machine around the holidays. I needed to slide that machine it in and out of location for a period of time. This cart made that a easy to complete - and I did most of my work while it was sitting on this cart. It was smooth on a tile surface, and I also used it on carpet when we got the unit to the final location. I'm sure I will get many years of use out of the cart. It is small and doesn't take up much space, yet feels rock solid and well made. The rubber surface is also a plus. Great purchase, really met my application need and have already used it several other times.

I really like this dolly. It rolls wonderfully and my avocado tree (in its too large to move pot) has sat wonderfully on it with no problems for a good 8 months. Only issue... don't leave it outside in all weather. I wanted the dolly to move my tree around from too hot summer sun to too cold 'Texas winter' weather. I did have it covered in the winter, in the garage, but out in the sun during our rains in May has made the rubber strip come off and the wood frayed around all the edged. The casters still work great and it still is holding it's load, but it may be slowly falling apart due to the heat and rain. I will glue all back together as the weather cools. Just wanted to post that its a great dolly, but to caution about leaving it out in the weather.
