Roasting tips and review
I have roasted quite a bit of green beans and so far these are my favorite. I use a dutch oven on a gas burner (outdoors), and a temp gun. You can purchase a temp gun on amazon for under $20. This allows me to get the exact roast I want every time. No guess work at all. I prefer my coffee slightly acidic so I roast my beans to a light city roast (410-415 deg f). This coffee opens with an acidic but balanced flavor, is smooth and earthy through the mid palate and finish with flavors of caramel, garden humus, cocoa, with some floral undertones. Many people prefer darker roasts. Darker roasts will be smoother and less acidic, but the nice caramel flavors will be replaced by a charred or even burn taste.(think Starbucks). You can get a book or a roasting chart that will show you the different temps for different roasts. Sometimes for fun, I will do several different roasts of different temps and then mix them together. Then i get the different flavor profiles. You can also make your own blends as well. This is a great coffee for beginners as well because all of the roasts come out good. You can't really screw it up as long as you get it to first crack.Happy Roasting!

Great general flavored coffee when lightly roasted
Pretty good coffee. It doesn't have a "standout" flavor characteristic IMO, but it's good, regular kind of coffee. This is not to say it doesn't have quality taste, but there's not strong accents from the batch I tried. The beans are slightly larger than other unroasted varieties I've tried.I found that going just beyond the first crack, so a light roast, suited this particular bean well. I tried a darker roast (a little past second crack, but with light color still visible in the middle) and I wasn't quite as fond of it.Overall, I'd say this is a great general coffee if you enjoy doing a lighter roast. My personal favorite so far has been the Brazil Adrano Volcano Coffee here on Amazon. Has a slightly creamy, nutty hint that I like. I may purchase this again after trying some others.

A good starter bean.
I am not a professional roaster, not even close...this was my first start at roasting my own coffee beans. I choose to pan roast them since I am new to the process. Take my review with that in mind, however I amvery qualified as to what is and is not a great cup of coffee, I only purchase higher quality pre roasted beans and grind them as needed. So let's talk coffee roasting. The package came quick as promised and arrived sealed nicely. The beans were smaller than I expected even though they were advertised as large. I roasted them just slightly past the first crack and let them rest for the 1-2 days the package says. I made my first cup and was immediately impressed by the flavor profile. It was light and clean with very little acid and almost no bad after taste. I'd call it the anti-Starbucks flavor. It definitely was not a strong French roast flaovor, so if your looking for deep notes this may not be the coffee for you. The quality is good, I'd have to say not to sure if it is certified organic as the packaging indicates it but has no certifications. I understand this may be a red tape kind of issue, but if you are searching for certification then maybe ask the supplier for proof. I'm good with their word. I'd buy this again, but it is just the start to a new world of product that I feel I have way more control over to achieve "that perfect cup ofCoffee"

Very poor quality beans. Look at the beans. I attatched a picture.
Very poor quality beans. Had bought other green beens from this same company that were dirty, moldy and wormy. After roasting these beans coffee tasted like old stale coffee.

No depth—weak
This was the most disappointing bean that I have ever tried. It has no depth of flavor. I found it to be very weak. I spoke with two others who also tried it and felt the same way. Don’t recommend.

Let me tell you this coffee is incredible I roast these beans myself in a little copper drum roaster and those beans are easy to roast
I discovered this coffee 3 years ago and I have been buying it ever since! Let me tell you this coffee is incredible I roast these beans myself in a little copper drum roaster and those beans are easy to roast, I find medium roast is the best becssue you really get to experience the great notes of caramel. I have tried the Costa Rica dota beans and the Brazilian beans and these beans come out on top for me by far. I like the Costa Rica beans but there was just too much acidity for me otherwise great gal out beans! I must say I stopped buying the 10lb bag of these beans for a while as they weren't on prime and shipping was like $16 but has recently come back on prime which o was really happy about! Love these beans and highly recommend them to anyone who roasts their own coffee

High Quality Beans, Delicious Complexity
These are very high quality beans. I've never actually seen beans in such amazing shape- they're huge and virtually all the same size. They give you a nice even roast. The profile is quite intense on the cacao side, with a chocolatey sweetness and not very much fruit or 'brightness.' I over roasted it the first few times and didn't like it very much, but then I did a perfect light roast and really tasted the complexity of this wonderful bean.I'm sure that blended with an African or a brighter Guatemalan would be quite delicious indeed. Overall very impressed with this supplier, they definitely care about the quality of their product.
