The unit works fine BUT the plastic link between the cap and the body is quite hard and could scratch or cut tender skins of presumably fragile older users [when they use it in the dark or wherever].So in my opinion the unit is unsuitable for safe function, and therefore defective.

My primary concern was: will this leak? I immediately filled it with water, sealed it by screwing the lid firmly, and then a. shook it and b. turned it upside down and squeezed it (simulates driving to altitude with it upside down).I put the lid on twice and it leaked 1 of 2 times when I turned it upside down and squeezed it, but it did not leak either time when squeezed. I believe that the first time (that it leaked) that I had not screwed the lid on firmly.Careful inspection of the plastic showed that the 'flashing' line had a raised edge, so it is also possible that this makes it harder to get an air-/water-tight seal. I took my toenail file and filed this smooth so that I can be even more confident, since I plan to have this in my car.

The Lid does not glow in the dark, at all. The 1 liter size is too small and light weight to fumble with in the dark, it feels unstable. I would rather it be more substantial and less flimsy.Why do they have to misrepresent a product? Does NOT glow in the dark.

This is my second spill proof bottle - the first (at 1/2 the price) was very cheap with a top that didn't screw on well. This bottle has thick walls, a solid top (that glows in the dark), and does the job. Not much else to say - it is what it is - a bottle to collect / measure urine. I paid a little more this time - and it's worth the extra $$

Plastic thickness is much better than the one I had from the hospital. It is a little tricky to stand up but is easier once it contains fluid. The cap is very easy to put on because of two notches in the threads. There is a notch at the top and one at the bottom of the threads. In the dark all one has to do is (by feel) align the point where the cap is attached, to the notch in the threads at the top and it can them be screwed on without trying to find where the threads start. This is usually a problem with most plastic containers but not this one.I wasn't disappointed with the very low glowing cap but feel is not really functional for someone who requires this feature. Even after using a very bright source to charge it for 5 minutes. Evan after my eyes became accustomed to the dark; I couldn't find the container. I have a small flashlight with a glowing on/off button. I can see it in the dark for more than 8 hours.I was disappointed with the impression on side because it is almost impossible to know how much urine is in the container because the numbers and markings are not clearly formed. I even took a black marker and tried to mark the top of the writing but that didn't help.I feel that the measurement impressions should be made clearer by making a better mold and the impressions should be made on both the right and left side so it is more convenient for right or left handed people.The measurement capability is so important to me that I would not buy this product again. I cannot make recommendations to anyone else without knowing what they deem as important. The screw on cap was a bit plus for me.

It is substantial and sturdy whereas it is easy to clean, use and balance. A great deal better than the previous urinals used. The lid glowing in the dark is a big help. Great product. Would definitely buy again and recommend to others.

We got a flimsy one from the hospital. This one is such an improvement. Definitely leak proof with the screw on cap & the base is solid, so no worry about it tipping over.

THIS URINAL DOES NOT STAND SECURELY UPRIGHT ON THE BASE!!! IT TIPS OVER!! IT IS ONLY SECURE WHEN PLACED ON ITS SIDE!! I KEPT IT BECAUSE I NEEDED IT AND COULD NOT WAIT FOR A REPLACEMENT BUT VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I PAID MORE BECAUSE I THOUGHT THIS PRODUCT WOULD BE BETTER. IT IS LEAK PROOF!
